Ruiz has demonstrated a good chin, it could be interesting. Ruiz lost to Parker but I watched that fight, Parker won by a round or two at best.

Miller was a better contest....but now we know why he could throw 100 punches a round at 300 pounds and not get tired.

It's a shame...if not unexpected that PBC are stopping the Ortiz fight because they want to play exclusively inhouse with their heavyweights.....Ortiz has lost out on a huge pay day because he signed with Haymon.....Haymon better be paying him well for that Wilder rematch......something tells me he's taken some bad advice.

Maybe a good thing for Joshua. Ortiz is a dangerous albeit aging fighter. I'd rather see that one on the side of the pond but sadly, the fights we want to see probably won't happen with the new contracts being signed.

As usual, the public are being taken for mugs.

Joshua v Andy Ruiz. Really?

A good fight for Joshua to say hello to America but as a contest, I can only see it being short.

Ruiz lost to Parker, carries a lot of lard in his 17 stone and has a big reach disadvantage.

I hope he has his excuses ready.

Not directed at you Hrof but Zzzzzzzzzzz

I doubt that Americans will be impressed with Joshua taking on a big fat slob.

Eddie Hearn started his boxing promotions really well but now seems to have taken a leaf from the Frank Warren bum of the month book.

I wont be paying for this.

These fights are soooo sh*t. Me and a manager at work, both love our boxing , spend our Monday’s talking about the domestic fights as well as the international ones , as well as the football.
Neither of us would buy the next fury, wilder or Joshua fights , they are all so sh*t, I’d rather watch Okolie v Haskin 2, I wouldn’t , I’d rather have a 3 way with dale winton and Michael Barrymore, even though one of them is dead, than watch that s*it again. But you get my point.
I don’t mind the UFC , but am really a boxing fan.but the UFC don’t have all these governing bodies demanding ridiculous fights and I’m not even sure if the fighters have agents , let alone signing to different tv channels.
How much better would the world be with 1 belt for each weight class , each major tv station rotating as to who gets the next big fight and no agents.
If you fight the heavyweight champion, he gets 20 million, you get 5 million, no negotiating, if you don’t fancy it get to the back of the line.
It’s killing boxing, I like Crolla, but he’s best days are past him and he gets to face lomachenko in his prime, it’s ridiculous. Lomachenko should fight Garcia and Davis in his next 2 fights , if he wins and there is no one that’s impressed he can fight them again.
The super 6 tournaments at least let us see some of the best fighters on that division, but still some of them don’t show up.
It’s a joke that GGG, in my opinion beat Canelo conclusively in the first fight and the 2nd was probably a draw. He won’t get another crack at him until Canelo thinks he’s past it.
I’m 42 , 5ft 11 inches and 3/4s , 13 stone and I reckon I would stand a decent chance against Rocky Fielding.

The fact that after the mental decision of the wilder v fury fight, they will probably have a rematch when they are both on the slide , is killing boxing.

Okolie v Haskin 2? Fecking hell, I'd pay good money not to watch that!

Twenty years ago I'd have probably paid good money to watch a Winton and Barrymore fight.

Out of the two of them....the far nicer one went first.

I think I'd have backed Winton to lay out Barrymore anyway....Winton looked like he carried power.....Barrymore looks like he carries an alibi.

Barrymore’s always been a heavy smoker. Puts his fags out in the pool . Boom boom.

Agreed. Ruiz is around 17.5 stone and 29 years old and quite honestly, I am in better shape at 18.5 stone at 55. Sadly I can just about manage three rounds on my punch bag these days so the comparison does not stretch too far.
Obviously, boxing ability and fitness are not measured by how you look but a serious athlete should be doing better than that.

I'm 18.5 years old but 55 stone.......but that still makes me a top tier looker in Wisbech.

I just did my tricep tendon so I could be joining you rapidly unless it is less damaged that it feels.

Don't know what happened that night but Barrymore was less than forthcoming with assisting the police and then has the cheek to claim they persecuted him. I think the public voted with their wallets and quite right.

It maybe he was completely innocent in all that happened but refusing to cooperate has killed his career and quite rightly in my opinion.

Yeah but do you think he could have beaten Ali in his prime?
