My family are from South America but I have been subjected to violent racism and more recently casual racism at matches and society in general.
If your labour you can't be racist??
But it's ok he's a Corbyn fan?
Millwall= he's heard a few monkey chants. I've been to the old and new den and have witnessed it first hand....you ever been away to Millwall?
Not just Millwall either....but in my away day trips watching Palace their crowd was particularly bad. Just my experience though.

Well the continent of South America is loaded with racism, probably up there amongst the highest in the planet. In fact everywhere outside of Europe is obsessed with its own heritage. So Europeans are just catching up and waking up.

If someone was violent to you because of your heritage then they were arseholes, however this 'I'm a victim' doesn't wash with me.

My family was subjected to violent racism in Brixton when I was growing up so we moved out to an all white area....problem gone.

Is that how you see the child?

I see it as a child

As far as it's genetics go. With one Black grandparent who is unlikely to be 100% African, it won't have many African genes, so I wouldn't get too offended on his behalf just yet.

I'd be more worried about being too White. White people are being slowly absorbed into the non White majority and probably wont see the next millennium. The prejudice will all be directed at them.

I'm sorry you seem to feel repressed by the way the

You mean devolving.

Do you really think nobody has reacted differently than if it was a white English rose? Seriously? Even comedians, including black comedians, have joked about it. The look on their faces at Meghan’s entertainment at the wedding was funny for a start.

You've no idea what I think, and you haven't answered my question, which was whether you think Prince Phillip is a racist. Stirlingsays says that he hopes he is a racist (somewhat bizarrely in my opinion) but I'm interested to know if you think he is.

He’s ignorant and completely sheltered from anyone not like him, as will most of his family be, down to his great grandchildren. I don’t like to tarnish people with being racist without being very sure but he’s certainly come out some ignorant and xenophobic comments and I think a few that people would deem racist, but probably fall in thevery ignorant category.

Danny Baker, Millwall fan pleading ignorance about the connotations of monkeys being seen as racist.
What was the point of the tweet. Against rich people? Against Royals? Against Harry and Megan? Against the newborn baby? Anyone got an idea?
He's lived through times when monkey chants and bananas were thrown at black players...still happening in 2019 in some countries and then says
I didn't realise what I was doing would offend, everyone is out to get me.
A mixed race child is born into the world and one of the first things said about it is absolutely horrendous.

Galv, I used to be a regular at your business years ago so I have no desire to argue, but, don’t you think it would be career and social suicide to tweet that with racist intent if he was completely aware of how the public were going to see a chimp and think,

‘Hang on, the mother is mixed race (half black), and you’ve just committed the typical lowest level of racism by saying it’s a monkey or like a monkey or whatever because it’s part black?’

Do you really believe he’d do that, or he’d be so stupid to do that? He’s an intelligent person who’s grown up amongst normal people. I’d believe someone could do that if they lived a sheltered life, but not with a racist intent, knowing the result within minutes.

Sometimes funny or very intelligent people get carried away and do or say things that people don’t get or see because they get carried away with their talent effect on people. This is my take on how he made this error. Having said that, he essentially works for the taxpayer so if he didn’t see what the effect would be and he’s capable of making that mistake then I have no objections to his contract being cancelled.

Like DB said, the idea that he would tweet that knowing the history of black abuse in this country with that intent is completely nuts. Why would he do that. Makes no sense.

At some point people are going to understand the games being played here and wise up.

If 'racism' is a built in preference for your own 'group' cultural or racial then most if not all people are racist to some degree or other. It is in-built and can't be changed.

Many people who point fingers and shout 'racist' live in mainly homogeneous areas either racially or culturally. Most simply don't live in culturally diverse environments and enjoy it. The demographic map is evidence for that.

If 'racism' is obvious verbal or physical abuse designed to humiliate (and it isn't a claim done for victim points) then fair enough. This country has always had....well it use to have a strong streak of fairness.....and it should be able to be addressed.

I checked out joe.co.uk on Facebook earlier because it gets a balance of both sides, because it was originally just a football only site before the t1t who runs it went all lefty political with pro remain and Corbyn cr@p. Anyway, there were what looked like 50 something women being outraged. I bet they haven’t even heard or read DB’s explanation, because they want the outrage.

Yep and where there are outraged women you will notice there's always a small army of outraged male feminists following them nodding vigorously and scoring as many virtue points as they can.

Very Darwin.

And now the police are investigating his tweet. Good to see they are adequately resourced to sort out important matters.
