The Mail seem to have an agenda against Palace.

No, they just have an agenda against accurate reporting.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

One day into the window and Sky have already started.

Give Wilf a pay rise and remind him he has 3-years on his contract.

In the man time, please let's stop giving Sky Sports bollocks oxygen.

I think he'll still be here when the season starts.

I don't think I trust Parish, Freedman or whoever it is that gets the players in. If he goes we really will be f***ed.

If he wants out then we must let him go and asap as someone else posted recently.
Get the right money - don't get into a standoff with other clubs and the player himself.
Set a decent fee and do the business and if there is no business to be done then Wilf will stay with us.
He might want out but he will only get that at the right price.
£80m probably too high but £65m upwards is fair but as always there is only a limited market.
I just don't want his career with us to end on a sour note where he and Parish fall out as there is little point in that happening.
We need to know what money we have got and asap otherwise it will be wasted in the bank come the start of the season with no replacements at all

He had a pay rise last year and it was reported that the buy out clause is his old contract was removed.

He or at least his advisor will have been aware that this means he will only be sold if we get an acceptable offer.

If he is sold to an English club only Chelsea if they have their transfer ban suspended could be a possible destination. Arsenal are not Champions League and Spurs will not pay his sort of wages.Chelsea also have a number of fringe players who want first team football and could interest. If Chelsea do not have ban lifted will Hazard go? it may be in Chelsea's interest as they can not bring anyone in ,to keep him and be competitive in the champions league and let him go for nothing next year

Also at any of these clubs he will be guaranteed a starting place and that seems to be important to him

If the right offer comes in Wilf will go.We all love him, but he has done his time with us,given everything in every game, and if he wants to try a big club, who could begrudge it? The problem for him and the club is there are so few realistic buyers. Chelsea cannot buy him-only the other top 5 clubs in England can afford him, and City and Liverpool don't need him. This leaves Arsenal, Spurs, Man Utd. Looking at the squads and finance of the elite European teams, the offer is going to have to come from Dortmund or PSG. I suspect he will end up at Spurs or PSG.

Is there a link?
Unfortunately, that sounds almost as bad as a vote of confidence.

He's looked a frustrated character all season. Roy's dour tactics haven't helped.
