If you look at our game v Bournemouth where it all came together, we have built a squad that is really dynamic. We have had so many other home games that should have gone like this before Batshuayi arrived.
Coming to Selhurst in this modern game has become a real pleasure. But the truth is that Wilf plays a big part in all our Hope value. Roy has moulded us into a very exciting prospect.
For me, it would be a great shame not to keep this powerful energy together for at least one more season just to see what we can now achieve. Modern football wins when you can build a real team. We seem to have done just that.
I really hope we manage to hold on to our stars. To break up this squad with where we are now would be literally tragic.

The sensible thing to do would be to get it done..by a deadline of first couple weeks of July, or whenever pre season starts, the coaching staff then have an opportunity to work and plan new strategies without him,and time to find replacements.

If you want him stump up the required fee before pre season, if not don't bother.

..that's him off in the last hour on the last day of the window then..therefore scuppering our new strategy and hope of getting replacements.

Wilf going towards end of window is likely, so the other option is to plow ahead with strategies in pre season with out him.

I just hope that behind closed doors Parish, Hodgson, Zaha and his agent are all being honest with each other. They need to make a decision even if they're not public about it. If Zaha is desperate to leave then Parish has to decide (hopefully after conversation with Roy) a) if he'll sanction it, and b) what fee is the minimum they would accept. It would then be down to the agent to try and find a buyer at that price if Parish does agree to a sale. You would hope that Steve would also set a deadline for completion eg sale completed by 30th June or no sale.

I love Zaha but he was rewarded with the biggest salary in the club's history only last year. If he does want to go I hope accepts the clubs position if either it decides not to sell or asks a fee which no one meets. Fortunately I think he has enough respect and love for the club that he would unlikely risk souring his relationship with the fans by publicly showing any agitation for a move. Maybe with AFCON this summer he will be too distracted anyway (crosses fingers)

What I love is the press and all these c***s making out like we're holding Zaha hostage for an unreasonable amount of money. Don't remember the same tears when Barcelona well overpaid for a midget from Liverpool, but hey ho. Seems only the top 6 can set prices whilst the rest of us paupers have to be grateful for whatever we're offered!

We turned a profit the year you're talking about because we sold Yala.
We will have even more problems if we were to end up in administration again further down the line from irresponsible spending.
Our owners cant just dump money in as we then breach FFP.
Our infrastructure is running at its limit and until we have a larger ground, it wont change. The only way we can essentially fund "decent sized" transfers is by player sales.
Under Big Sam we spent a good few quid in the Jan window, and due to the small amount of money we make as a business, its taken literally years to recover from that window.
Im the last person that wants Zaha to leave, I was there when he made his debut, and i was there when he made it again a few years ago and i hope i get to see him have a testimonial one day.
