Palace VP Eddie Izzard’s Wunderbar Tour has taken residency at the Beacon Theatre in NYC. While no mention of Palace was made during his 2 hours of humor, the lighting is all red & blue & he did react positively to shouts of EEEEEEEEAGLES! at the end of the show.

I was watching the remake of Day of the Triffids the other day. Don't think Izzard is too bad but he really was rubbish in that. The original is miles better.
Hope you enjoyed yourself Kenbarr - you should have got him to sign a shirt or something.

I was up in the gods so that was impossible. It was a very enjoyable evening for both my daughter and me. Thank you. I never saw the remake of "Triffids" as I consider the original a classic. I did enjoy his performance in "Valkyrie" even though the movie was ruined by the arrogant attitude of the writers and director who believed nobody knew the story. That wasn't the actors fault. As for the negative comment, I should expect such negativity from the resident "damp squid."

Izzard was great in the BBC's 'Castles in the Sky' IMO.

Do you mean the movie version or the previous BBC series?

I love the movie, but it's a travesty in terms of quality and adherence to John Wyndham's novel. More a cult classic than an actual one, perhaps.
