How would this team look without Townsend? A bit lacking in grit, I would say. I like Gray, he's worth more than Andros, but every team needs a fighter.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Not sure which Andros Townsend you're thinking of.

Direct swap for Gray? Leicester fans would love that to happen - Gray is one of those "promising young players" that does not fulfill those expectations.
Add 20 millions and we should maybe talk business!

Townsend definitely has grit. He runs his bollocks into the ground every single game. Behind AWB he was my 2nd place for player of the season.

I think he means the one who runs himself into the ground each week. Andros is the type of player defenders hate. He has pace, works hard and has some trickery. His work rate helps Zaha out as he drags defenders around. I would love him to score more goals but that is being picky. He is an important player in our team.

Determination perhaps?

Grit to my mind describes those footballers who are willing, not able. Like Lee Cattermole.

Townsend is too valuable to us to let go, he's played in nearly every game for us and maintains our attacking threat when others have picked up unjuries.

All the above attributes mentioned I agree with, and he's still only 27. No way should we sell him.

Im a massive fan of Tomkins, i think we robbed West Ham blind for him at that price, £10m wasnt it? I just think he's too injury prone, he missed about a quarter of this season through injury, as he did last season too. Im suprised how well we did without him and Sakho during the final third of the season.
