Sadly I also remember the precursor to the 3 wheel float, it was basically a cold box on wheels with a large handle at the front which acted as the handbrake and started the electric motor which drove it as the milkman walked down the road with it in his white peaked cap and striped apron under his coat. Wouldn't surprise me Becky. Strangely, I don't know really know him too well (he b*ggered off when I was 3 and then gave me a call when I was 40!) but from what I can gather, he's no Robin Askwith but a bit of a character (or ar5ehole, depending on your level of politeness)
