Ha ha.

Like I suggested before, selling AWB is a clear message to everyone else that our club has no ambition on the pitch.
Survival by the fingertips is our only aim.

Rafa isn’t coming here as there isn’t a vacancy. Selling AWB is good business, nothing to do with lacking ambition. You appear a bit naive in a lot of negative posts.

What is the lowest position we have finished since we were promoted? Always comfortably mid table, where does surviving by fingertips start?

Well you might call it naive but as a football fan, my primary interest is seeing my team win.
I do not believe that selling AWB will help that happen on several levels regardless of any perceived financial benefit to club.

I'll be negative as I choose about what I see as a negative move by the club.

Must be Chelsea - first time no comp paid for an outgoing or incoming manager.

And yet Rafa joined Newcastle knowing how Mike Ashley runs that club.

He then stayed with them after he failed to keep them up and spent a year in the Championship, a bit of a come down from his previous club, Real Madrid.

Being paid £6m a year may have something to do with it.

Won't happen but would take him any day of the week over Roy.

No it won't.

Give Rafa a healthy transfer budget as he had at the top clubs he managed and he will deliver decent football.

Give him the sort of budget he's had at Newcastle ( and would have at Palace ) and he will provide dull, pragmatic football. You know, the kind of stuff that Hodgson gets criticised for.

Oddschecker has Pardew 10/1 for Toon return,

Certainly, money talks but I doubt we will be the ones to do that kind of talking.

We have Roy and Roy won't make waves when we sell our prized players.

Didn't his contract there have another season to run?

If the take-over goes through then there will be plenty of managers wanting the job.

If the take-over falls though, it will be Roy Keane or Tony Pulis and (I hope) bottom three next May.

You’re talking about this as someone who has no responsibility over cpfc accounts. Very easy to say what we should and shouldn’t do without having the problems facing the people now needing to keep a balanced squad.

The mistakesk were made not having proper scouting and signing £30 mil players and paying them over £100k and up to £130k.

Sums up my feelings too.

Hodgson is our man for this model.
