You know what i have been thinking along the same lines ! i reckon we wont buy anyone and the money raised by the sale of AWB and Wilf will go on the redevelopment and the new stand, and down we will go . i hope im proved wrong we will still get the money from the premiership for the first season then balloon payments the following season . only time will tell .

To be fair at least we will have the best stand in the championship

So, if that were to happen then our US partial owners will have contributed the square root of f... all to the club and are probably lining up a sale of their shares at a massive profit. All supposition but it sounds very Palace and rather questions the due diligence of the Americans intentions by SP when they bought into the club. I certainly have not observed any benevolence from their involvement in the last couple of years (unless of course they paid for Sorloth and Kouyate).

I doubt the money will be for one specific area. The same when Zaha goes.

I know they have put cash in when needed for transfers when cash flow didn’t allow the deals to happen in at least one January window. I don’t know if they’ve taken the money out again.

SP had to work long and hard to get Harris and Blitzer to commit to their investment. My perception at the time was that there was a question mark over how long they would stick around. But I thought it would be longer than they have.

The funds they originally contributed were ringfenced for stadium development and not player purchases. That begs the question of whether they have run out of patience with the lack of progress on building the new stand, as there is a lot riding on getting that done.

Yes, that was my thoughts too. I am disappointed more than anything that there appears, on the face out at least, that they have added very little to the club. If they leave with a massive profit and take their ring fenced money with them I would be pretty pissed as would a lot of supporters.

The US investors can only leave if they sell their shares to another investor(s), so there's a possibility of their being replaced by someone potentially more proactve (albeit we don't know a lot about the detail of their motivations). It's possible to contruct a convincing argument that a complete change of ownership may benefit the club, if they were motivated and funded to move the club forward, as Parish gives the impression of being happy to tread water. It's difficult to imagine any investor being happy to put in substancial sums whilst sitting quietly at the back, with Parish in the driving seat.

Yes i know what you mean Steve likes to be involved in every aspect of the club and rightly so, he has worked hard for his money and doesn't want to lose it like many a chairman has done before him. If the Americans sell their shares to a single person or company will Steve still be the majority share holder or could they force him to sell ?

He's not the majority shareholder now. I doubt he could be forced to sell his share of the company, but a new owner/owners could decide that they don't wish to have him responsible for the day-to-day running. I doubt that Parish is the only person who's "worked hard for his money".
