FYP spoke to Hodgson and he apparently rates Max. They said he was surprised by the physicality and tempo of the premier league and was taking time to get up to speed. Give the boy a chance and trust that Roy knows how best to manage a player.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Max meyer' by Midlands Eagle Hopefully going to see a lot more of him this season, was he bought in - not so much as wilfs successor, but with a view to a different style of play with him at the axis? We have a wilfless pre season to find out.

After a good showing last night let's hope Max becomes the player we all hoped he would be. His interview certainly suggests we should see some improvement now he's more settled.

he could do a Jedinak and flourish once he's adjusted, wouldn't be the first and if he did step up he'd need a song so here goes … to the tune of Volare Max Meyer oh-oh-oh-oh Improvements welcome.
