It is true to say not everyone who attends an Antifa rally will be a communist. It's accurate to say they will be a mixture of activist militants from various sections of the left against what they perceive as fascism or groups they don't like.

However, Antifa is full of communists and communism lies at its core.

I'm curious, would you be bothered with such refinements of description if we had been referring to the Charlottesville rally?

I don't think what you say can be true. Any group which makes opposing what it sees as the growth of fascist attitudes and behaviour it's key feature, to the point of it being it's name, cannot have anything else at it's core.

If anyone involved in anything, Charlottesville included, was demonstrably wrongly described, then I would want to see that corrected. I want to see fairness and accuracy in everything.

Just as though the membership of Antifa is not exclusively communist does not excuse any member's behaviour so anyone using violence at Charlottesville not be excused just because they might not be a "proud boy". As always judge the action and not the label.

I don't care what you think. What is important is what is accurate and can be described as true.

Antifa has activist communism at its political base. It isn't exclusive to communists and pulls in other groups that is a fair point.

That's all that needs to be said.

Whether you care what I think, or not, doesn't change facts.

Whether or not Antifa has activist communism at it's base, or not, is irrelevant to those facts.

Any group which describes itself as "anti-fascist" has anti fascism as it's core activity. What it's members think, or do, at other times is also irrelevant.

Seeking to tarnish the aims of a group by attaching irrelevant labels is something you have previously deplored. So why Antifa, despicable though they are?

Now that really is all that needs to be said.

What is true is never 'irrelevant'.

I have no issues with 'labels' as categorisation is a necessary fact of life. All that matters is accuracy.

I've supported people's right to contest a 'label'.

This exchange has little merit and has gone on long enough.

You said some are just opposed to fascism.
You dont counter that with stating that the USA or us are not fascist states; so the ones that are against that should wrap up and go somewhere like Korea or the like to protest.
Do you concur with that then?

Of course the truth is never irrelevant.

However, no-one, you included, can declare anything to be true just because it happens to be your opinion. Nor can you pontificate on the merits of any exchange.

In this case it is my opinion it is untrue and therefore irrelevant. By your own admission, as you have previously "supported people's right to contest a 'label'", you appear to now be both supporting my contention and challenging it!

Perhaps it's for you to wonder how I could have an opinion, which is based on evidence and also support your right to challenge it.

As I have no idea what point you are trying to make I can neither concur or demur.

You can protest about individuals, about individuals in government, about individual parties or about specific policies without accusing a whole political system of being fascist!

There's nothing to wonder about! It's not your "evidence" (which may or may not be true, but is not disputed) which is in question. It is the assumptions you draw from that "evidence" which are then presented as the truth, when the real truth is that they are simply your opinion. As you now acknowledge.

But you are right. This has gone on too long, so I withdraw.

As the bishop said to the vicar.

This blue on blue (Wisbech on Wisbech) debate is quite amusing though, but I agree with your withdrawal strategy.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I think you do really get my point.
You are playing dumb
You said some antifa are against fascism, not me but you wissy.
Why are they protesting when there is no fascism to protest.

Do you know what Antifa, as a word, stands for?

The clue is in the name.
