True. As a rule of thumb I think it's a mistake to rely on the government for anything. Their main interest is self interest and keeping their paymasters happy. If you've got millions or billions to hand I'm sure you have their ear. If not, the vast majority do not give a single sh!t and those that do have their hands tied by the system.

But that's life in general dd
The more you bring to the table, the better your existence.
Thats in any part of lifes spectrum.
Be it work, home life or friends.
Think about everyone you know.
The ones who bring a social personality will get the invites.
In work if you can deliver physically you get the gig.
And the beat goes on...
Admittedly not fair most times so dont think I'm advocating it, its just how it is.

Totally agree. These appointments sum up the undemocratic EU. Apparently the Eastern States are not happy, perhaps they should walk out in protest

Meaning non white I assume?

If someone is born here and has an allegiance to this country, they are not some kind of second tier scrag end. I do think it's important to reiterate that. They in fact belong here as much as you do and are equally deserving of playing a part in all aspects of the political process from voting to government if they so wish.

It's perfectly reasonable to both believe this and that immigration going forward should be limited.

If.

The problem here is that you are essentially stating the same policies that have placed us into our current situation. Especially since there will be no significant changes to immigration policies.

Ethnicity isn't just about genetics but genetics matter all the same. Who brings you up matters massively. The location of your birth matters but, in reality it's secondary.....Our current ideas need to shift to reflect this.

Rudyard Kipling was born in India.....So is anyone seriously suggesting Kipling was an Indian?

David Gower was born in India......So is anyone seriously suggesting Gower is an Indian?

Keanu Reeves was born in Beirut....So Reeves could be Lebanese then?

To completely ignore genetics is to ignore reality.

I accept that a person born in and having a genuine allegiance to a country is its national regardless of genetics. That's because ethnicity is more than just genetics.

However, there needs to be a common sense acceptance at what has happened. We were told immigrants from very different cultures would integrate, but only a minority did and it's been decades now....The reality is that very few non whites call themselves English.

To state it doesn't matter is to say England remaining English doesn't matter.

I can't imagine that any immigration policy you would promote would in effect keep England English long term.....that might not matter to you, but it does to me.

Like Japan and Israel, China and in fact most countries outside Europe understand, this matters. The numbers matter....who owns what matters.

Hell even the Dalai Lama says and recognises that numbers matter. He says Europe is for Europeans....He specifically said, Germany is for Germans and hence England is for the English....the clue is in the name.

The UK is a northern European country and its policies should reflect and protect that. If some want to call that racist, then that's a burden the rest of us will have to carry.....I don't see the Japanese weeping about what others think.

This is a numbers game and what you don't protect you lose......and the English are losing....a minority in their own capital and soon to be a minority in Birmingham.

You don't even know who the EU commission are, you didn't choose them, only a handful did. Yet they hold executive power over all of the EU states. That's about as democratic as ruling by decree. Even the Tudors needed parliamentary consent.

Yep, but you get the chance to vote him out soon.

Whereas the EU commission is an inside Brussels job.....Yet they have far more power than any one Prime Minister.
