Seems to me a rumour is heard and the tabloids scramble to write whole articles about how we're trying to dign such player. The majority of these stories are complete nonsense and don't even make sense. In fact some journalists seem totally inept. An example today that suggests our deal for Ayew would free up Zaha to leave? Lol.
Anyway I think it would be a decent experiment to start a rumour, not to ridiculous, and see how many sites and papers take the bait and run a story without any proof.
