The left back looked outstanding for Young Boys, maybe we should look at him for Jan window? But I didn't realise how good Benteke is untill I saw Sorloth.

Quit frankly, the person that scouted and recommended Sorloth should be fired. He cost the club 9mill plus 4 years wages for a guy that would struggle in the Nat League.

The best we can hope for his to loan him out and and someone pick up his lunch tab.

Sorloth was approved by RH who said at the time he had consulted his contacts in Scandanavia and was happy it was a the right thing to do, so presumably you want Roy fired.

Sorloth has not cost the club 4 years wages as he only signed in Jan 2018.

We have had so little chance to see him it's hard to make a judgement

I am much more annoyed with whoever was behind Benteke, no one will ever hold their hand up to that.

Conversely, whoever was responsible for signing Bolasie did a great job, as did whoever got AWB tied in.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Can’t really dig out whoever signed Benteke , he was a good international player over a few years , can’t remember anyone complaining at the time. A player dramatically losing form /ability a year after signing is his fault.
Even John Lewis wouldn’t honour a receipt after a year of use.

Townsend put a shift in as usual the rest of the team well.... best we get back to beckinham quick smart and put together some attacking moves and focus on keeping the ball

It would be criminal that we don't strengthen our attack based on last season. £20 million should secure somebody half decent. Whoever comes should go straight into the team either on his own or with one of the "lumps". In relation to this friendly seemed to remember we looked half decent under FDB pre season and we all know what happened at the beginning of that season. From reading sounds like a decent outfit to play. However as you say hard work needed.

DF involved I seem to remember. As we have such a bad recent record against Bristol City I've been living off this transfer for a long time. He was young player of the season for them previously.

It only takes ten minutes of seeing Sorloth on a pitch to see he’s no where near PL or even Championship standard , by the time his contract ends or we pay him off to leave it’s going to be 4 Years wages.

There is absolutely zero teams in FL that would have him in the starting line up, or stump up a transfer fee.

I said it within the first 20 minutes of seeing Soerloth play. The man is an absolute travesty of a player and should not be playing professional football. People on here saying he deserves a chance, he has had lots of chances and has done nothing. One of the worst signings in not only our football club but also in the history of football. Shocking

I agree with you although the FDB debacle and Roy’s style of slow slow slow is a major contribution. When Benteke struggled at Liverpool it was because they weren’t getting the ball to him fast enough when the whole oppo was behind the ball and Benteke had his back to 2 CB’s. That and the amount of opportunities from side footed balls across the box on carpet pitches he skied out of Anfield on a regular basis.

Klopp was building a long term project as Roy isn’t playing the short term direct football that falls apart quite quickly. (We’re just weak in the box).

Benteke just cannot play much football unless he’s 25-50 yards from goal with minimal defenders to oppose him or a ball in the air nobody can reach that he can power into the net with his head.

Would you say the same about Linfield and Dundalk too?

Why are you being obtuse, Young Boys have a far better pedigree than any Irish team.
The reaction of some from losing a pre season friendly is over the top. It's an opportunity to try out new formations and build fitness.
