Is being widely reported this is the new James Bond. Personally, am not enamoured but I'm frankly not sure how it will even work.

I think it's a studio gimmick. Bond will resign in the movie so the designation 007 is up for grabs she will take it on for 5 mins until Daniel comes back to save the day. If she really is to be the next bond that is a huge risk by the producers for the franchise so I am not convinced.

Years ago I went to a John Cooper Clarke 'gig'. His humour was a little "off the wall", for example:- I went into this café, and the notice behind the counter said: Cheese sandwich - a pound So I said to the girl "There's a tenner, love. Go and wash your hands and make us a cheese sandwich." Back to the topic...if this is the future of James Bond, the franchise will have to live without my custom i.e. I won't be paying to watch it.

They replaced Danny Boyle as director as he was gonna kill Bond off and replaced him with the woman who wrote Fleabag and the first Killing Eve series. She's already said they're to be called Bond Women not Girls, made 007 a girl (although not for the whole film), sorry, woman and don't be surprised if there's some lesbian undertones somewhere along the way!
