Skysports understands Arsenal are in for Everton winger Suarez who they see as a more viable option to Zaha

Same old Arsenal always looking for the cheaper option.

If Wilf does stay where do you think his best position is now or where does Roy see him playing upfront in a 442 or wide in a 433.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Looks like Roy has been trying 4-4-2 with two strikers but that then causes a problem in the midfield if we want to play Wilf and Andros as there would only be space for Luka and one other. Townsends defensive work is ok, Zahas not so good.

So, the choices are left mid, left wing or up front as a second striker. I have to say I much prefer 4-3-3 with Meyer Milivojevic and Kouyate (or McArthur) in midfield, Zaha wide left, Townsend wide right and anyone who can score a goal in the middle!

Something may happen still but right now it seems that Wilf is not required by many top teams and as Arsenal don't value him highly then he could well be staying.
If McGuire is £80m and Wan B is £45m then Wilf has to be £70m + and as yet no one else thinks so I am pleased to say.
As I stated on a previous post SP now needs to tell suitors that if you want him at our valuation the deal needs to be done by the end of next week to give us time to recruit or P*** off until either the next window or next Summer.
In a way I feel sorry for Wilf - he has created a value for himself in today's terms and market place but there are no buyers as yet.

He can post as many ambiguous, sulky social media posts as he like. Ultimately it's Arsenal he should have the hump with for making such a half-hearted attempt to sign him.

Go through this BS every transfer window with an occasional cryptic tweet / instagram post. I don't want the guy to leave but FFS, lay it on the line & be upfront about what it is you want, the silence only adds fuel to the media's obsession with this story.

All about leverage, especially in the past with improved wages and contracts.

thought if zaha was leaving he would of left by now and arsenal haven't come in with a 2nd bid it's leaving it late if we need to get a replacement and it takes palace all the summer to get deals done with almost 3 weeks left can't see it happening now

As valued as he is to us I think he's reached his maximum wage with us, already think we pay him too much & I don't see any others valuing him as highly in that regard
