I'm not saying there aren't any who will make the grade but it would appear at the moment we don't have a dressing room full of the next AWBs.

My Two Penny's worth: No Palace reserve side, even a development side should be conceding 6 to the likes of Barnet a NON LEAGUE side. It exposes the smoke and mirrors concerning the plethora of alleged "talent" in the youth set u, who are simply not that good AWB being an exception to the rule. We did have our pants pulled down by united over the sale of AWB. Best stats in Europe for a defender, young, still improving, and the potential to be an England legend, Minimum we should have asked for is 60 Million, or the 50 plus a player deal. We will start the season again with Benteke up front with Wickham on the bench, the money for AWB will not be spent on the playing staff, and we will pay over the odds for some wnak journeyman as cover up front at the last knocking's. Freedman should be sacked he has brought nothing but certified plum duffs to the club the biggest calamity of all being the absolute shytehouse that is Sorloth. We lose Wilf we will go down, as we won't have time to find an adequate replacement until January. Something is wrong with the way things are being run at Selhurst, our transfer windows have been amateurish since we arrived at the top table, and they continue to be so. Everything about us appears to be done on the cheap. I hope I am wrong about all the above, but after 40 odd years of supporting Palace, and the toilets in the Arthur not changing a bit (lol) I think I'm going to be right.

Sounds like we experimented with a 3 at the back from the interview with Dreher. Experiment results: Fail! Maybe the ghosts of FdB's experiment still haunt the club. In all seriousness though, however you dress it up it's a pretty damning result. No fringe player except Wickham I guess has shown that they are anywhere near pushing for a place in the first team.
