Some thoughts.

A Muslim shooter is thought to be a terrorist and 1.8 billion people are implicated in their crime.

A black skinned shooter is normally thought to be a gang member.

A professional shooter is thought to be a hero.

A white skinned shooter is thought to be a mentally ill lone wolf.

You really can be a silly individual wissy.
What point are you trying to make as 20 people are lying on the slab.
Sometimes your views are so out there I wonder if your age has brought about a bit of senility.

There's parts of America where betting and drinking is banned but guns are not.

Like I say its been a while since I've paid attention to us law.

I also said similar laws, not identical.
The Czech Republic & Poland both have pretty relaxed gun laws, for example you can carry two concealed weapons in the Czech Republic & most bars you frequent out in that region will have signs on the entrances amusingly saying no guns/knives/samurai swords/tnt etc.

Take a look on Wikipedia for a breakdown/be a pedant.

I'm keen on a fabarms stf12 myself although will probably end up with a hunting rifle as I want nothing to do with the factory farmed meat you get in supermarkets.

Also the AR in AR15 doesn't mean Assault Rifle it means Armalite (the company that owns the patent)

Who said AR means assault rifle? Stop deflecting. I know perfectly well what an AR is.

And when I talk about assault rifle I mean just that, not simply an AR15; AK47; AR10; FN FAL; FN SCAR, etc. And yes, I’ve owned one and enjoy shooting.

You claimed other countries have similar laws. Where can one buy an assault rifle in a supermarket? Where else can one legally buy firearms without showing any ID or having to undergo a background check? You’ve not answered that. It is not simply whether one can own guns elsewhere, or carry them around, but the means by which said ownership is regulated.

I'm really scratching my head as to what more I can do with you, I've offered up examples of countries where you can purchase tactical rifles/shotguns relatively easily, I've explained the similarities in concealed carry laws.

I've never said you can walk into a Walmart equivalent in Central Eastern Europe & walk out with a gun like you can in the states.

There's little point in discussing banning firearms in the states as it won't happen.
Its interesting you've completely ignored my point about tackling the enormous mental health problems the US has.

Surely, the biggest issue is how easy is it for anyone, nutter or not, to purchase a firearm in the US without needing identification or any kind of license. You claimed places like Poland and Czech had similar gun laws. I pointed out they don’t.

Compare with the US the two countries you cite: Poland and Czech. Both countries require a background check, some kind of medical exam, and a license. As such, legal gun ownership is far more restrictive than in the US even if gun ownerships is a common as you claim. That is clearly very different from the US.

I ignored your point about mental health for the red herring it is. Given the enormous loopholes in US gun laws the point is moot. I would welcome the restrictions on gun ownership of places such as Czech and Poland as that would address one of the main problems with gun laws in the US: virtually unrestricted legal access to firearms. Seriously, think what that would mean in the UK with all of the radicalized scumbags. Those stabbing attacks of half a dozen people at a time could easily be dozens if not hundreds of casualties.

Ultimately, are you seriously implying that there is nothing wrong with US gun laws? If you are advocating for laws similar to those in Poland or Czech, I would welcome them.

You really can be very juvenile. I sometimes wonder if you are yet to reach your teens, judged by the comments you make which demonstrate a great lack of real experience.

Every murder, by whoever commits it, is a tragedy.

The point was in anticipating the probable excuses from the gun lobby on why a white guy might commit mass murder, although I have been surprised to see at least one report describe it as "domestic terrorism". Mental illness can affect all groups.

Whilst I fully understand how and why the USA got themselves into this situation I cannot understand the reluctance of some there to sort it out. They cling to their constitution as though it can justify anything, even when it is so clearly out of date. I am pretty sure the Founding Fathers would be appalled to see it being used in this way. It is yet another example of people living in the past and refusing to move on as their environment moves on.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

Young at heart wissy and do you actually know many men with a mental age over 12.
We are simple compared to women whom God gave the ability to think and men he gave... the erection.
My point was the way you seemed to make some sort of racial posting by using colour and religeon.

You're not young at heart! The young have a simple carefree view of the world. You have a bitter and twisted heart, like so many who share your world view.

I know many men with a mental age over 12. That happens when you play lawn bowls almost every day! Many are as sharp as a needle. You need to be to play the game well.

I was commenting on the racial aspects of the reactions to gun crime and not making a racial point of my own.
