This signing demonstrates the sheer lack of ambition at the club and equally does nothing to dispel the rumours that we have run out of money. Another free signing and another fossil toonly increase the age profile of an elderly squad. While other clubs seek out young hungry players to nurture and sell on, we provide a home for over the hill players seeking a last last payday. How many other clubs sell their best prospects and bring in players who at their last club hardly played last season and got released. I fear the club by a series of bad transfer deals and over inflated wages is up the financial creek.

Experienced and will offer calm head. He will be Roy’s soundboard and should be able to have enough guile and knowledge to see us through games when our backs are against the wall. He is a leader and that can only be a positive when we historically go through our run of no wins within the first set of fixtures.

Not disrespect to you but really you think that Woods can go straight to the Premier without any experience at all? On woods I believe I said not yet. Had some time with the first team pre season. Add a year or two in development and league cup games and hopefully he will be epl ready.
