Deflection.

Living over a hundred miles away and having two small boys does kind of dictate my priorities and schedule.

Is that why you aren't?

We were always interested in joining the singers and did it for away games.

Everyone we sat with dispersed, we only knew them from Palace games. So where exactly should we have gone?

Well, I've offered you tickets to a match 55 miles away now so maybe you can attend a match and get a better picture of that on which you are such an avid commentator

I've done my time as a regular match goer, maybe when the boys are older and we have moved I will start up again.

What's with the 'fan shaming'? Posters who push the 'you don't go to matches, what kind of fan are you' line are being a bit childish. What aren't I a Palace fan now? What level of commitment gets me over the line to qualify? Sure, it's fair to say I'm not a fanatic, life is a lot more than football.

I contribute to Palace and there isn't any other football club I support so there isn't much else to say about it.

If you are offering free tickets, give them out to where the need is greatest.

Yes lots of flags .Fortunately mostly kept tucked away during the game and THAT MUST PREVAIL as when the
flags are flying ,from Block F, you cannot see any action at all to RH side of goal .

From block C didn't seem much louder than when HF were in the corner I suppose that's understandable. Seems like main stand and upper Holmesdale thought it improved the noise so that's good and I would think being louder around the dug out area is good for the subs and manager to keep them motivated. I thought the new tap room and all the HF branding outside block E looked smart. Was excited about San Miguel on draft but in true palace style was warm and a right let down. I think the singing section will definitely help the main stand sing more and good for the young kids in that area to see all the jumping and passion. I personally miss the noise in the corner I think it helped the Arthur sing up and was intimidating in that corner when away teams had corners. Also if the HF have moved to be visible on the box like some on here have suggested that hasn't worked can't see them on MOD or goals on Sunday. Let's hope the Villa game a little more exciting and all the ground can crank the noise up. With Benteke and Ayew upfront all season I think were gona have to make our own excitement anyway and make no mistake were bang in a dogfight this year at the bottom teams around us have improved their squads and I think Villa and Sheff Utd will be better than Cardiff and Huddrsfield were. So let's strap in for the ride and take some numbers up Brammal lane Sunday decent away day up there and some good pubs near the ground looking fwd to a good away day and 3 points....

The only disappointment for me was the lack of a first home match display, bunting, confetti whatever.

40mph winds in the Holmesdale wind tunnel, any sort of display would have been a disaster, imagine all the cards just blowing away.

Thought the atmosphere was excellent for a boring 0-0 game, lets see how it is if we ever start playing exciting football again.

You do make me giggle

You 'shame' me for not moving my seat, rather bizarrely but there you go.

Then when I say you may better understand that on which you post if you actually saw the situation first hand you accuse me of 'fan shaming'. Another of your silly labels.

It seemed like there was some kind of agreement on the flags. Maybe only to raise them at given times in the game? Or maybe as you say someone asked them to avoid raising the flags due to high winds
