hang on.. you're in serious danger of being massively hypocritical here. as you quite rightly pointed out earlier in this thread.

"If you take the position of "you can't have an opinion on the atmosphere if you don't go" then it's a short road to "if you don't go you can't have an opinion on palace""

Personally, I don't see why you would think that regular, unflinching attendance qualifies you to have a more valid opinion."

..and i agree. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and for that to be respected. So i would suggest you practice what you preach; otherwise you just come across as being old and bitter and undermining your viewpoint in the process.

Change always polarises opinion...but there's no need to be personal

It was pretty bum licky though.

horses for courses i suppose.

People on here will find anything to moan about. Not unique to the HoL I suppose.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I was in the upper tier Saturday and noticed the drum sound was coming out of the overhead speakers.
Looks to me like the club may have microphones near them so they can magnify the sound they make. TBH all you could hear in the upper was the drum really. and it was relentless.
Cant say what the atmosphere was like below but I still feel for all loyal long standing supporters that were forced against their will to move from E block

It may have sounded like that but it wasn't.

Rather than joining in with the singing section I prefer to express myself through the medium of naked dance...…

The only downside to this is I now have to sign a register twice a week at Croydon Police Station....

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

It was good to see the HF back and they certainly helped improve the atmosphere. I'm in the main stand and it sounded louder but that might just be because they are closer to me now. It's hard to tell

All new songs have to start somewhere. There was a time when 'We love you' and 'when I was a young boy' fell into the category of 'we don't know what they're on about'. They have to be persistent if they're to catch on and I'm sure they will over the next couple of games. Especially now that the people sitting with them want to sing.

I've been in the same boat as you, but once you can work out the lyrics they're mostly pretty decent and original (for England anyway, mostly copied from European clubs).

The new one is a goodun imo
