Not sure why people are putting Ayew ahead of Benteke either, going to win nothing in the air and although worked hard last week didn’t look anymore clinical than Benteke.

Totally agree, hence my accurate summary of what he'll do. The last thing I expect is a tactical approach appropriate to the opposition.

I think because we will be counter attacking some might think Ayew, although no more clinical, links the play better, unfortunately due to not recruiting a better centre-forward neither is ideal

He'll start the same 11 again, perhaps dropping someone for Wilf.

Injury or disobedience are the only factors that make him change a starting player.

It does seem this way a lot of the time. Conversely, he doesn't have a hell of a lot to choose from most of the time.

Yeah, agree. He's the man for us, suits the board's model perfectly.

Come on Chris - there's no way the board has a model. They have a cardboard one of the new stand, that's about it.

Oddly enough, Luka said the opposite of this in an interview last week:

“Roy is a very experienced manager on one side – he loves to play on results. He uses his team to get as many points as he can get from every single game. Roy tries to adapt to the opponents to get the points.

Marco Silva has one kind of philosophy. He tries to use that philosophy in every single game – he doesn’t love to change, to adapt to the opponent. He has his philosophy and plays his way – the same."

I was surprised.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Well, I'm glad we have a natural back up for him to compete for that spot

I am looking forward to seeing Camarasa play and I would hope that against one of the newly promoted teams, or at least in the second half, we'll play a more attacking side. Certainly seemed to be the case last weekend.

Camarasa for McArthur? Unfair to McArthur. Or Max? Again unfair. Then maybe for Ayew.

I am keen to see Max Meyer have a good run of games.

Conservative he certainly is, too conservative perhaps yes. He also seems extremely loyal to players in general.
However you making out he is a nitwit who barely knows what he is doing is extremely harsh.
Still and forever deserves credit for keeping us up after my compatriot messed us up a few seasons ago and I doubt anyone could do a better job with the current squad.
