As far as I know, changes to the list can be made until September 2. So, names like Riedewald and Innis and even Martin Kelly could dissappear from the final list, making room for more free players who could join and get into the 25.

Or am I wrong? Many playwrs from PL teams will still leave on loan to leagues like the Eredivisie or the Serie A, because the transfer window hasn't closed there. They will leave spaces for their teams which could be occupied by a different player.

You're sayibg "not good enough" like in the case there was an option there. No, there is no option on the squad for a left footed Townsend backup.

There is no such thing as not good enough when anything is better than nothing.

At least that Callum Roberts 22 year old fellow could het a contract for the Reserve team and make some appearances with the main squad. He at least deserves a trial.

Club could gain a home grown English player, which is very important in making the 25 list.

The other players who impressed in the Premier League 2 alongside him have already gotten their opportunity. There were Harry Wilson, Ollie McBurnie, Ben Woodburn, Chris Willock (recently starter in Araenal's first fixture), Kieran Dowell, Daniel James (bought by Man Utd), Reiss Nelson, Brahim Diaz (Real Madrid), TAA, Bukayo Saka (great Araenal hope), Angel Gomes of Man Utd, Rabbi Matondo (bought by Schalke for 9 million from City), Rafael Camacho (from Liverpool to Sporting for 5 million though Klop didn't want to let him).

So this Callum Roberts is the last one left. And a free player, which is kind of a blessing.

And do Callum Roberts' matches in the PL2 don't matter? Youth level, but it's at least League Two difficulty. And he did amazingly, you probably have no idea because you don't watch it.

But where do you think all youthbplayers come into PL squads from? By this thinking, that he only has a few matches at senior level, you would probably refuse Reiss Nelson, Chris Willock, Rabbi Matondo and Ben Woodburn too.

No, it’s not at least League Two difficulty; Roberts couldn’t get in the Colchester team last season, who actually are in league two.

You understand that just because two people played in the same league, it doesn’t mean they are of equal quality? Putting him on a list with Nelson and Woodbhrm does not make him a better player.

Newcastle graduated Longstaff from their youth side to the first team, yet decided Roberts wasn’t even worth a contract, and no one has offered him one since - why could that possibly be?

Let’s see how his career pans out - I’m very confident he’ll never be close to a Premiership player.
