For those of advanced years watching from the Third Division (South) onwards will have seen some legendary qualifiers.

For me:
1. Johnny Byrne (skill unsurpassed)
2. John Jackson (bravest keeper ever)
3. Atilio Lombardo (prince among paupers)

Honestly I can't think of any over the past ten years equal to these three.

As a fellow Third Division Souther I go along with that assessment.

I used to like Claude Davis, even though he was always a f*** up waiting to happen, the man was a beast, every team should have someone in the team who scares the living crap out of the opposition, even if they’re not up to much

So I think I can add big Claude to my cult hero list

Simon Rodger?

A second nod to Aki but also remember the side that staved off the first administration - Clinton, Hayden Mullins. And of course, Dougie.

Really pleased with this, need more U23's to transition, so a critical part of the overall set-up.

Shaun is my next step door neighbours son-in-law and I see him about the place a lot. Really nice bloke, knows I am a Palace ST and always takes the time to stop and have a quick chat !

Must be John Jackson. I spoke to him at East Croydon station one day on my way to receive a classical education. It still makes me proud that I asked him if they called him Stonewall Jackson, to which he replied ‘They call me a lot of f*****g things’.

Come on, Lombardo was a great player, but not in the old 3rd Div, therefore I replace him with Cliff Holdon.
Not the same skill levels I know
