With the greatest of respect, the Government does not want a 'No Deal' but believes that it MUST be on the table in negotiations.Once it is removed it weakens the Government's hands in trying to get a new deal. There is no incentive for the EU to significantly amend the current deal - they are quite happy to see us continue to stay in month after month ploughing billions into their coffers.

At the end of the say, 17.4 million voted to leave, "leave means leave" and this 'circus' cannot continue. The electorate are bored and fedup with this whole issue.

That is the much repeated argument made by Johnson and his supporters. It is though complete bs.

To be credible he would have to have presented some kind of viable alternative that whilst unpopular with the EU negotiators might stand a chance of being forced through at the last moment.

Johnson's position is akin to playing bluff when everyone can see your cards.

Of course everyone is fed up with the mess but that doesn't mean that we just give up and accept a rubbish outcome just because it's easy. We fight.

With the greatest of respect we have polarised views on this issue.A divided nation and perhaps a divided HOL !

At the end of the day the EU are NOT interested in considering any viable alternatives whilst 'No Deal' is off the table.

Maybe one day I will elaborate on the various negotiations I have been responsible for. Some though still remain subject to confidentiality agreements.

Suffice to say I have held positions of both trust and authority, both in businesses that I owned and as a Director in others.

True, and like any other Act it can be repealed or amended in the light of changed circumstances or second thoughts.

The public would be no better informed now than they were then. They continue to be exposed to a tsunami of lies, fearmongering and half truths. Nothing has changed. The idea that Parliament is any less subject to political and financial pressures is very funny.

Untrue. We are all better informed now. Me, you and every MP. We cannot escape being better informed unless we have slept for 3 years.

Exactly what are these "viable alternatives"?

Which, let me remind you, need to be approved by Parliament after due scrutiny, and not just kept in a mythical box marked "BS excuses for the gullible".

As you mentioned 'Parliament' it is appropriate for me to elucidate that they have siezed control of the Commons but have NO viable plan to take the country forward so where are their "Viable alternatives" ?

Boris Johnson is the only party leader even trying to honour the result of the referendum by attempting to get Brexit over the line. The rest are trying to frustrate it.The zombie Parliament has become an international embarrassment. They have pulled the rug from under Johnson's feet and it must be put out of it's misery. The long suffering British electorate deserves a good deal better.

Definitely bedtime now ! Goodnight one and all and sleep tight !

But no deal could be less rubbish than a deal.
