Referee: Craig Pawson (40) from Sheffield.

He was in the middle for three of our Premier matches last season - the home defeats v Chelsea and Brighton and the home draw v West Ham..

Assistants: Ian Hussin, Richard West.

Fourth official: Michael Salisbury.

VAR: Jonathan Moss. Assistant VAR: Eddie Smart.

My memories of his refereeing are that he was awful and could barely keep up with play.
Have to say that VAR is not really helping anything as having the same refs means we are still dealing with incompetent ones, no matter how many times and angles they see an incident from.
Please somebody tell me that I am being unfair.

Sheffield is closer to Spurs than it is to us, we're being stitched up already!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

They hate anyone outside Sheffield.

On the plus side,he is Sheff Utd fan & seeing how we gifted them 3 points a few weeks ago, he might be grateful & be 'lenient' shall i say towards us?

Can I just ask something that really isn’t that important but I need to know the answer to?!

Do the VAR set up in a room at the stadium or are they in some central place with all the other VAR officials for the Premiership games??

These days I’m not bothered who the ref is. Since that useless bell Clattenburg (in my opinion, of course) went they’re all much the same and don’t seem to have any bias or agenda or try to suck up to the bigger teams, in an unsavourily revolting way.

It’s a whole lot better as, even when they struggle or are poor (which happens, we all make mistakes or have off days) they are at least poor for both teams.

They are in a central place. Stockley Park, wherever that is...

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)
