This and many others.

To describe an Act of Parliament, duly passed and given Royal assent, in such language is to demean Parliament itself and shows utter contempt for the rule of law.

To do so at this time, when emotions are frayed and the actions of some of our less balanced members of society are already causing problems for people, it is more than irresponsible for anyone. For our PM to do so is completely unacceptable and indefensible.

To blame those in Parliament who passed the Act for doing their job and who then get angry because they are being disrespected is quite ridiculous. To do so when MPs are being threatened is dangerous.

With respect we really are on opposite sides of the house on this matter.A divided nation and a divided HOL !

It is Parliament who have caused divisions by their failure to deliver Brexit and their repeated attempts to frustrate us from leaving the EU.Some, the Lib Dems, have unashamedly taken the stance which in effect means they don't want to respect the result of the referendum.I certainly don't condone the threats made to MPs but I cannot help concluding that they have been the architects of the bile aimed at them.

We all know there is only one reason why the opposition won't go to an election.

They want to stop Brexit and then hope that people will blame the Tories for the failure to deliver it.

It's all they have left.

Will there be enough of these power hungry scumbags to vote down another deal?
I'm hoping some of these Remainers will see the sense of accepting a reasonable deal if it arrives. This country desperately needs to move on and be seen to honour the Referendum or more radical politics will result.

What about abuse/threats received from the left by Jewish MPs and those speaking out about anti-semetism in the Labour Party. Can't blame Johnson for that, seems Momentum are as bad if not worse but presumably that does not count

It does, but it's not the subject.

So no remainers are hypocrites?

Of course some will be. But again, it's not the subject.

Those female MPs are receiving death threats every day from nutters being wound up by the rhetoric coming out of Johnson's mouth and you think that is them trying to score political points!!!!

No wonder people get angry with him when people like you cannot fathom the reality of what life must be like for MPs just trying to do their job.

So lets just review just some of the stuff that's gone on over Brexit on the remain side:

Lib Dems singing "Tony Blair can f*** off and die"
Lib Dems complaign slogan "bollocks to Brexit"
Mp's shouting at Boris in parliament that he should be in jail
Labour MP bringing up the tragic murder of Joe Cox as a political weapon
Opposition MP's blaming Boris Johnson for alleged death threats they are getting
Remainers laughing when Nigel Farage and UKIP candidates are attacked but someone daring to shout something at Soubre gets a suspended prison sentence
Jacob Rees-Mogg getting confronted outside his home with his young children targeted with "your daddy is a horrible person"
At the same time we have an opposition leader openly supporting the likes of the IRA, Hamas, Hezbollah and numerous anti-semites and John McDonnell has talked about lynching a Tory MP and calls her a b*tch
Rapper holds up a severed head of Boris Johnson

Leavers in general have had to put up for over three years with constantly being called racists, xenophobes, fascists, far right, ignorant, uneducated and stupid
The fact that some leave voters had died off was celebrated in the "peoples vote" campaign
Leavers confronted and attacked in parliament square (including the elderly)

Yet Boris calls the Benn act a surrender (which it clearly is) and they clutch their pearls.

Hypocrites

They should’ve said at the time that the referendum was advisory then and they were likely, or possibly, going to thwart it. Don’t hide and slime. Say and be honest.

Why on earth would they do that when they had no more idea than anyone else how things would develop?

Parliament has reacted to events in exactly the way it should, with honesty and integrity despite the widespread cynicism. If they now feel that the May deal is the best deal available and the people's thin patience means that its faults must be tolerated, then I suspect they would now pass it when before they would not.

My hunch is that is what Johnson will, in the end, be offering.

Johnson is the PM. He needs to show leadership and not act like a wanna be playground bully, using inappropriate language to describe an Act of Parliament he doesn't approve of.

PM's ought to be above such things. He isn't. He is playing to his audience, which clearly includes you.

Rubbish.

That's just the narrative Johnson wants you to swallow.

Parliament, quite rightly, doesn't trust Johnson to not do something underhand to thwart their will.

They may well pass a deal he brings back. I still see that as a real possibility. A slightly tweaked version of the May deal.

If they refused then my ire would join yours.

Playing to his audience? He’ll be trying to win votes next. Do these politicians know no shame?

I think so too, but I think it will be rejected.

When people actually sit down and read Mays deal, they recoil in horror.

Anyone can see staying in the EU is the far better option, remember 'vassal state' ?

If Johnson is still there he will offer what the EU will agree to which will be quite definitely be no good for the UK.

Cancelling could restore the UKs battered reputation, its veto and its self-respect.

Remainers lecturing about democracy.

Populism is coming to get you.

It's Parliamentary democracy which is under threat. Parliament has a wide body of opinion in it so to blame "Remainers" is total nonsense.

Populism is a scourge that needs to be eradicated everywhere and never allowed a toe hold in our great country.
