Hi everyone,

A Canary here, I’m coming to the game this weekend.

What’s the deal with parking in the surrounding area? I drove and parked near-ish to the ground when I last came (around 2011 though)!

Happy to walk 20 mins or so to the ground and will be arriving around 12:30 / 1 ish.

Any where you’d recommend?

I’ll be coming up from the M25 south, and going back that way too.

As for the match, I’m not feeling confident given our defeats at West Ham and Burnley, plus our injury ravaged squad. I think Zaha will get plenty of joy on the break. Statement of the obvious, first goal is key from our perspective

Welcome Canary
Parking can be a bit of a pain around 1sh. You could try Bensham Manor Road or roads off that. Failing that possibly roads near Grange Park. Enjoy your day (not too much) and the rest of the season.
If Palace can learn to score we would give most teams a game but IF is a big word!

Thank you, would getting there at 12:30 make a significant difference?

If you can’t score against our defence, you’ve got big problems!

We’ve been good going forward, but both Burnley and West Ham near enough nullified us completely (particularly West Ham).

You might be lucky finding on street parking in the roads between Selhurst Station and the ground if you are nearer to 12.30
If it is nearer to 1pm then the roads the other side of Selhurst Station, ie near the Holmesdale Pub (formerly 'The White Horse') and thereabouts

I think I’ll be coming in from the Orpington direction thinking about it,.

Last time, I think I parked on or around Dixon Road or Nugent Road up Whitehorse Lane. Is that area still an option?

Thanks all

I think you had it spot on last time, it’s the right side of the ground for the away section, especially getting there that early you’ll probably find a space.
I sit in the Whitehorse lane end and it’ll be nice having decent fans in the away end. We’ve had some scum in there recently

Made in Bromley

In reality not scoring against Norwich will only confirm those "big problems" that we are already aware of and would not come as any great surprise.

You say that, but we’ve conceded at least 2 in every game except Newcastle at home.

Great - I’m looking forward to it.

Is there an away fan friendly boozer somewhere up that end of Whitehorse Lane? Or that side of the ground at least?

Selby road in south Norwood.
About 20 mins walk.
If you can get on a pay and display around the ground wait until 1pm and get 4 hours. About £4.
The parking restrictions end at 5pm so if your out later it doesnt matter.
You should get a space at 1230 quite easily

Thank you - does Selby Road have any restrictions?

Nope and guaranteed parking.
It's about 1/2 mile long so bundles.
Sat nav will get you there.
Then when you get out on the main road there's a lovely cafe 50 yards up the road.
Less busy than the high street one so eat in
comfort
Dinners brekkys and reasonable prices.
Have a good day with nil points hopefully
