Agreed, but who suggested you should?

All that has ever been said by, and for, these female MPs, is that their fear is real, the threats regular and frightening and that the current language and tactics of the government, and particularly by the PM, concerns them.

As I don't believe Johnson is naturally like that the conclusion is that this is a deliberate strategy, planned by his advisers, tested in focus groups and passed as being effective in capturing votes back from the Brexit party.

I prefer honesty in politics and for voters not to be treated as consumers of products in a marketing campaign.

Especially when people's lives could be put at risk.

I would refer you to your post yesterday @6.06pm, in response to one by steeleye20 suggesting that the threats could make women voters change sides......

"I hadn't contemplated the effect on women voters but it's a good and strong point. The idea that their families are also being threatened will weigh heavily in some minds. It isn't just the women who are affected of course, but they seemed genuinely frightened."

But I'm sure you will be able to explain that that wasn't what you said at all.

They are though both disgusting examples within their own categories.

Thanks for the clarification! although many in the Labour party would disagree with you about the IRA. To be pedantic you didn't say the IRA were worse than the Mail.
What is your view on the Amazon link?

Out of interest Wisbech, who are good examples of terrorist organisations?

Good point. Presumably ones we’ve never heard of.

I rest my case.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

All I ever tried to do with the very first post was warn that it was a very crap idea. You need the right people in power to manage such a massive undertaking and not demagogues spoon feeding the ignorant and gullible and ridiculously idealistic with false promises and lies. If you truly love this country you would reject them and the destructive path they have steered Blighty on. Or...you could just let your prejudices continue to decide your thoughts for you as per.

That's not suggesting that they should!

It's commenting that they could"! and as a consequence Johnson's words might have an impact I had not previously foreseen.

Oh I am perfectly comfortable to allow truth to be the arbiter.

Mind you finding an untainted neutral jury pool from the population in this neck of the woods is going to prove very challenging.

Truth has a different meaning around here.

What does Becky think having your phone confiscated and being marched out of your office by a plod, or having your office and phone bombarded by filth, actually is?

A carrot dangled to women voters?
