Pretty sure I heard it right but when they interviewed PVA after the match, the interviewer got Luka's name wrong when talking about the decision as to who would take the penalty and not even his surname but called him Lucas. Shoddy homework before the game.

And perfectly correct punctuation to boot.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I'm shocked, I've just heard Shearer state on MoTD that the penalty and Ayew's goal were perfectly correct decisions. They were of course but Shearer usually argues against any decisions given in our favour.

He had a face like a slapped arse though.

I've been Roy's biggest critic at times and hold my hands up. I may be his biggest critic again. However, after our baffling summer transfer dealings, which admittedly seemed to frustrate Roy as much as it did us, he is working miracles so far. Other than the Sheffield United game, which was an absolute disgrace we've outdone ourselves. I'm absolutely shocked by our current league position, particularly with the lack of a prolific goalscorer, but cannot believe how happy I'm feeling tonight. Roy finally saw, sense by replacing Hennessey as number one. Cahill was a masterstroke, Joel Ward has stepped up to the mark big time and was my man of the match today and as for Ayew I think 90% of us were thinking the same thing when we signed him permanently, how wrong he's proving us to be!!!! Praying for a point at home to City and we can kick on from there. COYP!!!

Ditto!
I said last week now wrong I was about Cahill as well.
It is a results game and we are getting results.
I don't sometimes like our style of play but the means are definitely justifying the end!
Love beating West Ham as well!!!!
4th eh - heady days which I will enjoy whilst it lasts!!!!

I'm just going to assume this thread is a wind up!!

Some of our fellow Holers are young so their memories on us will be shorter.
Stop be so blunt.

Euphoria is building now on the back of some really solid performances. That’s the way we like it.

...I was invited to Spurs’ AMAZING new stadium and watched Bayern Munich score more goals in ninety minutes than we had scored in seven Premier League games!
But tonight...what does that matter?
What a start to our season!
Confidence is growing and I sense this year’s squad fears no one.
Wonder what we will learn by 5pm next Saturday?
As MB wrote to me tonight...”Come on”
Top ten finish...who knows, but the ride, as always will be fun.

Don't know, what's happening next Saturday?

I was in the West Ham end yesterday. The Palace fans looked and sounded fantastic - loved the flares going off. The wait for that VAR decision was painful but the explosion of noise from Palace mixed with the swearing from the WH fans around me was so good!!

It was interesting to listen to the WH fans. Shouting the C word at Zaha every time he got the ball but then talking to each other about how good he is. They rate Townsend highly too.

Anyone see their youth team coach interviewed on the big screen pre-match? He used to coach at Palace and said Zaha was the best player he’d ever coached!

Yes, the next few games will be tough but we have taken the pressure off of ourselves with our recent run of results. Because of that we will be able to play with no fear and you never know we may just upset a couple of the big names along the way.
