We paid ridiculous money to Liverpool for Benteke and injury-prone Sakho, Martin Kelly came for about 3 mill (not sure). No doubt in my mind who is our number 1 performer from Anfield. Solid, no fuzz and Mr dependable. Kelly and Cahill our main central defenders for sure...

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything off a scouser ... least of all a £30 million footballer ...

So you're saying that Martin Kelly and James McCarthy are no good then

He can play at right back, as well.

He shouldn't play right back anymore - he deserves to keep he place next to Cahill in my view.

He's got to be the worst I've ever seen at the club for his passing back to the keeper. The guy cant handle pressure and looks uncomfortable with the ball if a attacking player is running at him. How many times since signing him have we seen him try to pass backwards to then set the opposition up with a goal scoring opportunity? Have we ever had a player like this before? Sort it out Martin!

If he had passed back to Guaita it would have been fine. He tried to find Tomkins and missed by a mile. At least half of Ings's goals this season have come from defensive errors like that
TBF Kelly has looked more comfortable at centre back but he is only 4th or 5th choice there

Kelly has been one of our best players this season and made an error that cost a goal - i actually thought he was a bit unlucky in Tomkins moved a half step forward when he played the pass which helped to wrong foot himself otherwise he might have been able to recover. Sakho made an error in first half that he got away with that could have cost a goal.

A mistake but a great servant to the club.

I was under the impression that the usual way to deal with pressure in a situation like that seen yesterday is to lump it the ball down the line and regroup. Perhaps they are under instruction to play the ball across the line.

He made a costly error but otherwise played well and has done well this season at all times.
Move on.

MK is not the only player guilty of hazard back passes. And this time it all went wrong, much like a certain Korean player did a couple of seasons ago at Turf Moor.
Not understand what this obsession with dangerous back passes is about. I counted 7-8 in this game. James McCarthy and PVA are two other culprits. When you have opposition like Ings, Vardy and co chasing every ball close to your own goalie - get the ball upwards or whatever. Even a throw-in is better..
