I'm feeling really old, I was taken to my first match by my old man in October 1958 it was Palace's record win over Barrow 9-0 been hooked ever since and still attend every home match and some away matches which are local to my home Originally posted by EagleinSF

I bet you were a tad disappointed at realising that The Glaziers didn't bang in nine on a regular basis! Unfortunately my only 9-0 was in the opposite direction. I wouldn't have missed it though, in a funny sort of way.

Spot on we were mid tableafter 16 games following 2 home wins against Southport 1-0 and Gateshead 3-1 Followed by a 0-3 loss to Oldham the only "Southern teams we had played until that point were Watford home 3-0 and away 2-2 and Millwall away 2-1 loss. Originally posted by Palace67

interesting, i'm not a mod and never will be, but it's funny how this thread has gone from the owner's plans to our travails going from division 3 south to division 4 in the days of Harold McMillan.
