Wilf was poor yesterday; his first touch was poor, his passing was poor and he couldn't even beat his man most of the time. City seemed to get to him early with some off the ball stuff like holding, etc., and he never found his rhythm. In fairness though, there was a complete lack of support in the opposition third and he did create one of our only two shots on goal. Sterling by contrast has benefited from patience, support and one of the best collection of teammates in the world. He has developed into the player he is now as a result of that. It's like Wright said about Gabriel Jesus, so long as you're in the penalty area you're almost guaranteed to score goals playing for Man City.

You can't feel sorry for Wilf as he chose to sign that big contract with us, but I think from a neutral perspective he did himself no favours staying at Palace where we are now very defensive minded. However, from a Palace perspective he needs to pull his thumb out of his a*se and start showing he can live with the best. He would do well to look at how hard Sterling and Mane work for their respective teams and not just focus on the attacking side, especially in games when we're on the back foot.

Have you not noticed how Wilf never turns it on against the top sides. Fernandinho was quicker over 30 yards, and Mendy just out-muscled him out all afternoon. He also gave away a penalty failing to defend KDB, which for some reason VAR did not give. Unfortunately gone backwards this season since his failed bid for Champions League football with Everton.

His attitude is getting worse as well, constantly whining at the ref. He could learn a lot from Raheem. Southampton up soon, Ward-Prowse will be on his case from the kick off, so will be interesting to see whether he has grown up and learnt anything from last year.

We should've taken anything over £60mil for him in the summer.
End of.

This may well have been a possibility, but as far as I'm aware no bids for that amount were offered, due to Parish sticking to his 80m valuation. So either Parish thinks Zaha is genuinely worth that amount in today's over-inflated market, or he made the valuation well over the odds to ward off potential suitors because he wants Zaha to stay.

Zaha on form is worth a lot of money to us but no decent team would touch him with a barge pole. He looks great on the highlight reels on MOTD but a game lasts 90 odd minutes and his overall game is dreadful at times and most of this season.

He definitely looks like he has lost a lot of pace and those little tricks he does don't seem to be fooling the better defenders.

I still can't get my head around what he did to De Bruyne in the box on Saturday. He just shoved him with both hands out of frustration.

I think after the summer debacle he now lost the love of a lot of the fans and we are definitely not hearing "he's just too good for you" sang as much this season. His days are numbered at the club and I don't thinnk a lot of fans will miss him on current form.

For some reason he doesn't seem to be taking on the full-backs so much this season. Perhaps scared of getting injured and jeopardising his dream move?

I’m not sure as to why but yes you’re absolutely right.

He doesn’t make the runs a winger should and is generally stood still when he receives the ball these days. Time and time again he slows the game down and breaks a fast flowing move up. People mention Wilf often has two (plus) players marking him but this is usually only after he has put the brakes on and let them get round him.

He has definitely lost a noticeable amount of pace and is not winning the sprints (with or without the ball) that he used to. I believe this is another factor affecting his confidence in taking people on.

Yes he still has ALL the tricks and is a very good player but for all the negative nonsense we’ve had to endure in recent transfer windows and for the negative impact it’s bound to be having on the team/squad then we are now better off rid of him. I said this in the last transfer window and for all the good he’s done us this season we would’ve been better off with the money from Everton and a couple of new signings and the sulking disruptive cry baby that he is, gone!

The Telegraph reports that Chelski will have £150m to spend in January if their transfer embargo is lifted & the Express reports that Wilf & Timo Werner top their lists. Who will we get in exchange for Wilf & how much £ looks like its going to boil down to.
Wilf has been playing like he's already left in most of the games so far; Batshuayi is younger than Giroud so the better long term option. James the right back would be a good addition as well.
If we get straight £ what strikers could we buy in January without paying way over the top for them?

I’ll be very surprised if Chelsea want and pay big money for Zaha. Odoi is much better than Zaha on what he actually brings to a team. Maybe that could change but Zaha is on a decline physically anyway.

Agree.Hudson-Odoi, Mount, Abraham, Willian, Pedro. On current form, don’t think he’d make the bench. If he was on good form, think he’d be rotated with the others.
They’d be mental to offer anywhere near what Parish wants.
I’d be surprised if anyone buys him, unless we cut our valuation in half.
