Did we score against Colchester? I was at the game, can’t remember us scoring.

No - that's the point! 6 goals in open play in 13 games.

Roy's comments on Motd are baffling asking what could we have done different? make changes when things are going well ffs! That said we're only 2 points behing Arsenal and the top 6 so we shouldn't really complain donsidering our tough run of games.

i dont want him to do anything differently...he can carry on improving us season on season whilst spending very little money.

to think he gets called out on here is laughable.

Roy has spent decades playing his style of football which is a percentage game. Over the season he reasons we will get enough points to survive and if we are lucky may do better than that. When we lose we don't get stuffed.

70yo old men don't change their ways and I am not sure Parish would want him to. Parish knew what he was getting when we signed Roy which was the opposite of FDB.

Roy is a safe pair of hands and until Sheik Yo Money buys the club that is the type of manager we need.

It's not the most exciting football but this is our most successful era ever, ask Sunderland or Boro fans what they want. These days sadly its the premier league or nowhere I mourn that but it's the reality.

Having said that I hope Parish gives Roy the money to buy a RB and a striker in January.

There was a lot of this sort of chat around this time last year with people complaining he could only play 442 and that he should stop playing Zaha and Townsend as a front pair.

Roy’s shown he can adapt his tactics in the past but looking at the current squad it’s difficult to see what else he can do.

Creativity has been a problem for a while and clearly there must be an issue with Camarasa who has a bit of previous for being high maintenance. Meyer is not good enough.

Roy was asked last week about the lack of goals and made some fairly uncomplimentary remarks about the quality of the squad in this respect.

The lack of reaction to going behind against Leicester and yesterday were disappointing after being in the game but it’s difficult to see what else he can do. The idea that fans are happy for us to lose heavily if we have a go is a load of bollocks and is the quickest way diminish confidence and morale within the group of players and get the manager the sack.

Our last four performances have been appalling and identical. We got lucky at Arsenal. Sit back and keep the score to minimum damage and expect the same dollop of rubbish against Liverpool too. It is an admission by our manager to the players and ownership that our squad is sub standard and un competitive against the top teams.

4 wins.

One in the last minute against Man U. We scored with our first shot, and scored again because they stupidly threw everything at us for the win.

One in the last minute against West Ham through VAR.

One in the last 10 minutes against 10 man Aston Villa who were unfortunate to have a goal ruled out.

The other against Norwich, who are bottom.

On top of the 6 goals from open play.

Abysmal recruitment, but who'd sign for us. We dont use players we do sign, and we have an ultra defensive manager.

Too much pressure on Zaha to perform every week as well.

Re: Bizzabazz (quote)

"I would be quite happy to never see Luka, Kouyate or Benteke in a Palace shirt again"

To that I would add Schulpp, as would many.

If Camarassa was good enough for La Liga and Cardiff (arguably their best player last season) why doesn't he get a chance. Meyer may get bundled off the ball (not the only one) but he at least can PASS.

McCathly is more constructive than any of our midfield but only gets cameo sub appearances.

If Liverpool are going to hammer us with our defensive system I'd rather they did with us attempting to play football - losing 4-2 is better than 2-0 in my book.

This.
The awful way the team plays is entirely down to Hodgson. The team appears to be instructed not to cross the half-way line, keep shape, take no risks, 0-0 being utmost in Hodgson's mind. Inevitably we end up going behind anyway, because the opposition are closer to our goal than we are theirs, Plan b seems to consist of putting on Benteke with 10 mins to go.
A manager with a more positive game plan could certainly get more out of this squad. I do not accept that the squad can only play in this negative manner.
