I will try both KD's and Willo's recommendations for a ruby, as since moving to the same area in March I reckon I've tried 20 different indian takeaways. That tiny one in Ferring is proper 80's old school and the best I have had so far is Eshna's in Tarring. I bloody love Indian Food!

I will try both KD's and Willo's recommendations for a ruby, as since moving to the same area in March I reckon I've tried 20 different indian takeaways.

That tiny one in Ferring is proper 80's old school and the best I have had so far is Eshna's in Tarring.

I bloody love Indian Food!

I assume you are referring to the 'Jaaflong'. I have not had the pleasure of dining in this establishment.

The 'Reema' in East Preston provides culinary delights of a high standard.

It's funny that people still refer to them as Indian restaurants as the vast majority are now Bangladeshi owned and run

Absolutely ME, I think more should just put Bangladeshi/pakistani restaurants on their shopfronts. I watch Karachi and Lahore street food videos on youtube, normally when I am starving hungry. I'm a weird one me

I have seen the 'Reema' East Preston advertise 'Reema Bengali cuisine'.

Regards Karachi and Lahore, they are of course in pakistan and not in Bangladesh.I have visited both many years ago and sampled the delights of their cuisine.

Of course. The Lahore kebab house on commercial road used to be superb. Never tried Karachicuisine in norbury tho�.....

What is clear is that the true local restaurants in Karachi and Lahore and of course other towns in that region will not have a 'Chicken phall' on their menu! What is clear is that the true local restaurants in Karachi and Lahore and of course other towns in that region will not have a 'Chicken phall' on their menu!

In this country I have seen advertised a 'Gunpowder khalia' and a 'Railway curry' and I suspect most locals in the east have never heard of them! I was once offered a staff curry and it was certainly different from what is normally served on the menu.
