Fair enough. I agree on that. Well free fibre broadband, anyway. Not sure where the free wi-fi part comes into it.

They should have just gone with making sure every household has the ability to connect to a fibre connection. Still expensive, but much more practical.

McDonnell in the radio said shareholders would get government bonds for their dividends from openreach. Currently at 2% PA Dividends currently app 7% Sounds like a bargain to me ! Although the government dividend can go up or down as decided by..... The government. Also this is a 10 year plan. What happens if they get in power and fixed term 5 years then get voted out! Which they will. The plot thickens as to whether there is a hidden agenda about fixed term parliament in my mind. The government with a majority can change laws. Be afraid, be very afraid.

McDonnell in the radio said shareholders would get government bonds for their dividends from openreach.
Currently at 2% PA
Dividends currently app 7%
Sounds like a bargain to me !
Although the government dividend can go up or down as decided by.....
The government.
Also this is a 10 year plan.
What happens if they get in power and fixed term 5 years then get voted out! Which they will.
The plot thickens as to whether there is a hidden agenda about fixed term parliament in my mind.
The government with a majority can change laws.

If you live out in the country, probably have mains gas and sewerage would rate marginally higher than fibre....

A stairway to Heaven and a Highway to Hell give some indication of expected traffic numbers
