I expected nothing from this game, we'll get steam-rolled etc etc, but as much as the result is a sickener (the poor VAR decision) i'm actually buzzing given our performance. A great effort. Well done all.

Get your money on Citeh getting royally f***ed by var against chelski next.
I've said from the start of this season i reckon klopps wonderboys might collapse after Christmas. Just based on how it went wrong at Dortmund. The intensity cant last.
f***in hope so anyway.

Big up the Palace!!!!

..hate it when they say teams aren't playing very well and are well below their normal when it's the team against them that are making them play that way, very annoying, today our team scarred the pants off Liverpool.

13th with 15 points from 13 and after that seriously nasty run of games.

The rest of the season has got to be easier than that, surely.

What’s not to like?

Ayew clearly pushed, sadly.

Proud of the performance though and well done Zaha for the goal. December should be better.

A good and encouraging performance.

But as long as any opposition team knows that a decent number of corners inevitably will lead to at least one goal, this does not provide us with a lot of points.

I have never seen a Palace side - or any other side - defend corners so poorly. And Roy does not seem to have the slightest idea on how to correct this.

..especially if we continue playing like today, Kouyate was exceptional and when he plays like this the whole team improves hugely, passing was very very much improved throughout all of them, whether that is due to Kouyate or not is debatable lol.

Var is refereeing the game. Goals such as that should stand. It should be for howlers only.
Var will wreck the game as soon it will be interfering in every decision all over the field

Cant help wondering if VAR would have even looked at it if it had been a Liverpool goal.

seriously that's an interesting point, I know it went pear shaped at Dortmund just thought it was like a Poch thing, were they over fit too early and burnt out or something similar?

Burnt out from what i saw. Just couldn't keep it going.
Not sure but imo their defence dropped off last season after losing Gomez.
This season they have looked far from secure at the back and are shipping a fair few goals relative to early last season.
Massive over reliance on their forwards too with no obvious back up.
Couple of injuries to those forwards and they might start to struggle.
Hope so.
