you mean the game where he laid the ball on for the goal and just missed with the overhead kick . there again some people on this site just hate him { as a football player } and no matter what he does will never be good enough

I am inclined to believe his comments you have quoted are an attempt to keep morale high amongst the Ayews and Bentekes of this world.... though that may be me being optimistic about January!

It's a little unwowwish...and obvious...but we just need to steadily improve the squad & first team with younger players. A net two/three great-value signings a year for 5 years would be transformative. But it's a competitive world out there. Benteke re-signing was only underwhelming if his salary was obscene. Otherwise, as a 2nd it 3rd choice striker...why not?

We have to hope that contract extension talks take account of weekly value and other location potential. To illustrate, AWB would be offered an increase and at least three years, CB or CW might be offered less money and shorter terms. COYP
