You would

If Labour were as interested in merit as they should be then perhaps...just perhaps they would have their own, as effective, version.

I do 'have' and I think the wealthy should pay more.

Just because you're doing alright for yourself doesn't mean you leave the rest behind.

Where did you move to again?

But to address you seriously, the tax system and burden are already quite significant. The NHS for example employs 1.3 million people.

This isn't a low tax economy.

I guess this was aimed at me so I shall respond

I have plenty, I consider I have what I deserve. Croydon Council paid for my education but it was to a good standard so I am content.

I have no green eyes, I have all I need or really want

JRM on the other hand is just a dreadful human being with zero empathy. How can anyone be an MP when he simply doesn't live life like almost any of his constituents. What is more his politics and his opinions come out of the dark ages, because that is what suits his own personal financial position and status.

I am no fan of Vaz or Abbott either. Albeit Abbott does appear to be a 'woman of the people' in her own area of London.

Fortunately in Croydon we have Sarah Jones who in my opinion hasn't put a foot wrong. Unfortunately we do also have Chris Philp who hasn't put a foot right and who sent the most inappropriate message to my son on social media yesterday.

I'm taking that to be an implicit endorsement of John Cleese.

Diane Abbott is a stickleback who bites back onto the hand that unwisely fed her.

His constituents seem to like him as he has won the last two General Elections with substantial majorities

Nicely dodged. 🤣,but I was quite happy paying my health care when I lived in Spain.

Also paid for my staffs healthcare too.

What about the estimated 1 million illegal immigrants...do they pay in.

As someone fortunate enough to holiday abroad a few times a year I am hoping that a sizeable majority will mean more Euros for my pound
