It's a weak argument at best tbh and exactly how the Remoaners would've played the Indyref2 vote should it ever have happened. They'd have wanted 4 diff types of Brexit and then on remain and then shouted that Remain won over the 4 other options...even though combined they may well have totalled more. The difference between that and the election is that 3 or 4 versions of Brexit were still Brexit, whereas the multiple parties are all different and therefore can't be counted as a vote for anything other than their individual parts.
