He will be 29 in the summer and they will surely ask for at least 15 million (I think they don't want to sell below 20 in order to recoup, but I guess it can be negociated to 15). Anyhow, those 15 million will not be recouped even if he plays well in the future. You can't sell a 32 year old striker after 3 years. But....maybe he'll make a good Palace career and it doesn't matter if he won't be sold. He seems to have few goals for Everton, but he played few minutes. He actually scored and assisted a lot in the few minutes he got. Has also been constantly good at national team level. 10 goals and 6 assists in 2500 minutes since coming to England (I've also counted Cup matches, but they were against Premier League opponents like Watford and Leicester). That means 1 goal or setting up a goal every 150 -160 minutes on average. He also did well in the Champions League before this. I don't know why they did't use him more at Everton, I thought he was good. He is a center forward who isn't shy to work and is one of the few who can, IN NEED, be deployed as right or left winger (the man can run- could at least, until this year, let's hope he's not too old). Sure, he-s great, I'd have him, but he's not center forward like Tosun. Ollie Watkins has been playing center forward for just 6 months. If you think that's enough to warrant a 20-25 million transfer and rely on him in the Premier League...maybe, but I'm not sure. Maja is good, but too young and may have ups and downs.

It’s a done deal however this will not be the only striker signing so still more to come. I have been told it’s a 6 month loan with the option to buy at £10m. Benteke will be sold in the summer for around £15m so this would cover this transfer.

Batsman is also looking very close would be a loan then part of the Zaha deal in the summer. So our forwards next season could look like this: Tosun

I've seen talk of us signing Joakim Mæhle — do you know if there's any truth to that?
