If I remember correctly the reasons quoted for not managing to sign him in January were firstly that we went in too late and didn't give them enough time to find a replacement and secondly we wanted to buy him on extended credit terms. He seemed to be an Allardyce desire as Allardyce went after him in the next window on behalf of Everton where he was then managing

Pleased that this has been done quickly, Everton obviously happy to get him off the wage bill and us happy to have a striker. Let's hope it works out and he gets 8 or more goals for us before the end of the season.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

Happy enough with this, I think he'll do a good job for us - especially as I don't think either Benteke or Wickham can be relied on.
