We have no money because the club has been quite dumbfolding holding on to Benteke for years now. They could have swapped him to Chelsea for Batshuayi, sold him for 20 million to China 1 year ago, even to Brugge this window for 10 million, as per what dazza said. Yet no, they keep holding on to him and his value dropping. From 30 to 20, from 20 to 15, from 15 to 10...and they give him more 120k a week in a new contract!!

There are also Townsend and Meyer who could bring in money. Townsend was wanted by Newcastle who would have paid 15 million. Now I like Townsend, I really do, he's my favourite player in the "thick your favourite player box", but those would be the money to sign Bowen. Would I prefer a 28-29 year old left footed right winger or a 23 year old one (Bowen) who would do pretty much the same things?

And Meyer would still be sellable for about 10 million in the Bundesliga and a big salary off. Keeping him longer is just bad. Just get someone better for 10 million and that salary (Richter, German U21, Ryan Christie maybe etc.))

We may have dodged a bullet on this one, he hasn’t signed for West Ham yet, but is making outrageous wage demands and saying Newcastle is his club of choice. What kind of attitude is that ?

Our problem is the money we giving back to the Yanks at incredible rates of interest.
CPFC 2010 cocked up big time on that one!

Curious to know what rate of interest we're paying? I haven't seen anything on this, but may have missed something.

No problem at all - but I'd be surprised, hence the query.

Apparently he does not like threat of 50% pay cut if they go down.
West Ham would be really in the s*** if that transpired. Yarmolenko, for one, is currently on more that 100,000 per week for another 2 and half years. Attendance would likely halve to 30,000 and atmosphere would be dire

Well at least they'd keep that

It’s not in any accounts publically available,

The interest doesn’t look odd or ott.

Apparently we didn’t offer to buy him outright. Just a loan fee.

Infuriates me that all we offered was a poxy loan.. How pathetic.
If I read it correctly, our net spend over the last 4 windows is £-33m, that's terrible.
The Yanks need to get out of this club.

A couple of posts on this page have genuinely tickled me in what are seriously infuriating circumstances, they should be obvious, kudos!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
