Revenue is one thing, outgoings is the other. Our wage bill is far too high and we have investors who want to take out their cash.
No direct comparison with the 3 B's

Bournemouth, Brighton and Burnley survive on similar crowds so why can't we. Also being near London should be easier to attract players.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

This is a pretty good assessment of our current state. I can't see that there is a longterm vision for our football. Trying to get Roy to stay on for another year simply delays having to deal with a lack of direction. I don't think we're relegation fodder but will be soon if we don't have some sort of first team strategy.

Depressing, but 100% accurate, and something that we can all feel by watching over the past few years.

Roy has done a great job for us, but if we survive relegation this year, I really hope we do a complete overhaul of the club. If we carry on like this, and minus Wilf, we'll be down next year for sure.

2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

This is some myth because he can pass the ball 5 yards without being under pressure. The bloke is stationary and slow. He is not a Pirlo, a Gareth Barry or Jack Grealish. He’s a stand in or someone to make up 10 men behind the ball for 90 mins. Even if he’s had a few good games at LB he’s not a modern day one and he’s not there physically either.

He can come on v Everton and curl a free kick into the corner now.

Pretty much my opinion. Think he’s done ok as a stand in but no more than that.

Charlton. Curbishley. Next level.

Let’s be careful what we wish for, eh?

Agree with you on this Rudi.

True, but that is not a foregone conclusion. It is possible to be ambitious without bringing the roof down.

That standard response to people wanting to change the manager/style isn't relevant here. What we need is better, forward-thinking recruitment to renew an ancient squad with very little creativity. It's basic stuff.

Bottom line...
Its so simple....
Look after Roy .. Make sure he stays with us and give him some wedge to bolster the squad and let him choose the players we get in rather than the Judas who left us for the Trotters...
Hodgson has an amazing record as a manager across Europe and we would be hard pressed to get another of his pedigree...
I would prefer to see the yanks do one than lose Roy...
Thank your lucky stars he took us on after Frank the farmer ….
May I remind you all of the s*** managers we have had starting with Mullery … Closely followed by Burley who was to drunk to get up for a game on New years day...

"Numb, gutted and shocked . Three words that sum up how I feel."
"Passionate, principled, genius. Three words that sum up Joe Strummer"
