If the aim of the season is to achieve relegation then we are going the right way about it.
The form we see now is the culmination of poor managerial decisions on and off the pitch, but in the right here and right now what can be done to halt a worrying run of poor form? Repeating the same tactical errors game in game out show Hodgson's lack of flexibility and stubborn nature; despite being set up not to concede we are conceding regularly - surely a change in game plan is required?
Teams below us have a game in hand and 3 points will put them within one game of us.
Our ship is sinking, it's time to start bailing. It wouldn't surprise me that should the poor form continue and we lose the next two games, to see Parish act and install Freedman as temporary manager until the end of the season.

I acknowledge that Hodgson has 40 years more managerial experience than me and this season he seems wedded to 4-3-3 or 4-5–1 ( some may see it as 10-1).
However, we are struggling to create chances this season and something needs to change.
I would like us to revert to Benteke and Zaha up front with a solid 4 man midfield.
Get Zaha playing close to Benteke to run on to flick ons and get us further up the field to stretch the opposition.
Yes it’s a bit primitive but we’ve had success with it before.
It would mean dropping one of our better players this season, Ayew, but he’s not suited to the right sided role.
Benteke needs players around him to make the most of his attributes.
If we persist with the 3 defensive midfielder set up we will continue to struggle to score.

No way is 4-4-2 the best formation for our players. Benteke should be nowhere near the starting 11. 4-3-3 with Ayew up front, Zaha and Townsend either side is the way to go. We played some good stuff at the end of last season with that formation and Batshuayi up top.

I’m not against 4-3-3 if it’s a genuine 4-3-3 as in the promotion season or some of the time under Allardyce.
Problem is that under Hodgson it often becomes 4-5-1 with Zaha and Townsend playing like wing backs and with nobody within 30 yards of the central striker.
Benteke has been poor but he can still win headers and if you play directly and quickly on occasions Zaha is less likely to be tightly marked.
At the moment the laborious way we play means he’s tightly marked and very rarely in space and seems to spend most of his time in our half rather than the opposition’s half.

I agree and iTownsend being unavailable is a big defence for Roy. But I am seriously bored and frustrated with the shyte that all 3 of Parish/Hodgson/Freedman have contributed in this. Oh, forgot the Americans.

Why is Parish hiding away, unless the club are close to getting new owners to buy out the American duo, there should be an update to the fans as to where he sees the club going. Another month and he will be flogging the season tickets and expecting the fans to blindly pay up

Absolutely - no one remotely competent or, for that matter, sane, would think that only having Wilf, Andros, and Schlupp as wide attacking options is a good idea.

The radio silence from Parish is deafening. He really should be speaking about where we are heading, the ground, and those Americans, who let’s be honest are a shower of s***e!

Where we are heading??

We don't need Parish to tell us that unless we start winning very soon, the Championship.

There's the answer. We have too many plodders, incapable of a burst of energy or pace.

Interesting comment from Connor Wickham in Berkshire Live

I’ve still got a year left at Palace. I think the intention is to go back to Palace. The chairman (Steve Parish) has made that quite clear to me.

Is the chairman picking the squad nowadays?

Parish to Hodgson

"When we paid peanuts for Jordan Ayew it was because we thought he was crap and would help in our demise back to the championship, then the bugger plays out of his skin and moves upto to middle table safety. FFS get the useless lump Benteke back in and stick Ayew out wide where he can do less damage".
