Is there a reason this kind of buy wouldn’t be perfect.
Yep might cost between £15-20 million but 25 years old, perfect box to box midfielder, can pass and run with a ball, just what we need in the midfield.

Might be many suitors, some above our level, but we should definitely be one in the picture if we need to rebuild some what with younger players who are ready made fit the premier league

Hmmm...

No offence, WHY would they sell him & WHY would he want to come to us?

Why would he leave a successful club, currently in 5th, with ambition to play with us ( potentially in the Championship ) ???

Great player and he could be available for much less as his contract is due to expire in the summer.

However, he'll surely sign a new contract with the blades or get better offers than us.

Lovely goal today.

Lundstram started out with Everton then was loaned out to a number of lower league teams before he established himself at Oxford Utd where manager Michael Appleton signed on a a 'Free'.

Chris Wilder signed him for Sheff Utd - I cannot recall the transfer fee.
A combative player who doesn't shy away from the physical side of the game and he is also a good passer of a ball with an excellent range of passing.
A really good shot on him from distance and although he is right-footed he will pull the trigger from distance with his left-foot so he clearly trusts his weaker foot.
Not known for his goalscoring but he did score against us in the 1-0 win early in the season.

Research =
Sheff Utd have a one year extension option which they will take up so in the summer he will have a short contract so maybe they cash in

They signed Berge to ‘replace’ him as they are in long term contract agreement stand off with John and his agent

Just a player who would be a great addition, or we can loan someone and not play them that’s fine

Berge cost them £22 Mill and is a different type of player to Lundstram. In terms of their midfield ranks, as well as Berge, Sheff Utd brought in Jack Rodwell whilst Ravel Morrison joined Middlesbrough on loan.

Lundstram only made a handful of starts last season in the Championship, but I believe he has played in nearly every PL game this season.

Sounds like we're keen on a free in the summer. I can see this one happening.

1) They're going down
2) We're not
3) He's free
4) His age starts with a 2
5) He's very similar in style to McArthur, McCarthy, Luka etc. and we're known to favour that.

Feels like a solid enough signing.
