The number of failed predictions about Trump in this thread have all come from his critics.

Something to reflect upon.

No predictions about Trump have failed!

At worst the outcomes have been postponed because of the connivance of his sycophantic or intimidated lackeys.

His day to face retribution will arrive. It's not if, but only when.

However, the original predictions made in this thread made no comment about postponement. They spoke of certainty that Trump would be hounded out of office.

Those predictions were answered at the time and told that they were nonsense and that has proven to be the case.

I and others stated, Trump isn't going to leave office due to the Mueller report. I think you and definitely others stated otherwise and even now you can't take your contrition medicine.

As for 'postponed'.....I could say this about pretty much anything. It's an excuse for when your waffle fails.

I could say my winning of Mr Universe has been postponed until some future date....it would carry with it the same connection to reality.

And why should we care that much about what happens to Trump when he's out of office?

Of course the original predictions didn't predict postponement! As Macmillan was alleged to so succinctly suggest, when asked what threw things off course "events dear boy, events"!

Nothing can ever be foretold with absolute certainty, especially regarding the timing, but you can predict eventual outcomes with confidence. I wouldn't predict myself, or any other poster here so far as I am aware, ever winning Mr Universe with any confidence. Indeed I confidently predict we won't.

The depth of the official corruption now in the D oJ wasn't anticipated, so the way Mueller has been kicked into the long grass not either. Not just by me, but by everyone. Those predicting Trump would be cleared by Mueller did so because they believed he was innocent. He hasn't though been cleared by Mueller at all. His continuing in office is down to the AJ's ruling that a sitting POTUS cannot be prosecuted and nothing else. That's why Mueller handed over files to other jurisdictions to be actioned in Courts, where Presidential pardons don't apply, after he leaves office.

So those predictions were, and remain, far from nonsense. It's just going to take longer to deal with than was either expected, or is wise. It just confirms that the need to do so is really strong. If Trump has corrupted the system to the point where he can successfully postpone justice then the system in the USA really is no longer fit for purpose.

I can certainly predict that any levels of 'corruption' going on during Trump's office is and has been no different to levels of corruption that have gone on in any previous or future office.

Like I stated at the beginning of this thread.....Bias against Trump.

It's led to a whole dictionary of waffle and re-framing and demonisation of actions that caused no previous comment in other administrations.

As for what happens to Trump after he leaves office......No one really cares and I state again...that wasn't in this thread as a contention.

For the record, I'll state that while no doubt actions will be taken against Trump when he leaves office, I predict nothing significant will come of them.

Anyone who believes that the way Trump is running the Presidency is no different to any previous one isn't just wrong, they are living in a parallel universe to the one that most of us are.

You have only to read his tweets and listen to those good and honest folk who stand up to him, despite being systematically vilified for doing so, to know this President is in a class of his own for deviousness and corrupt behaviour.

What happens after he leaves office matters a lot. If a future President knows his actions will eventually catch up with him then he will be discouraged from trying the same tactics. I hope, and expect, Trump to be imprisoned.

So seeing him face justice eventually is very, very important.

There is not a shred of bias involved in the identification of, and calling out, someone who is so patently unfit for high office.

I've never known someone to type so many words yet say so little of any consequence.

Trump is Trump and is in many ways more obvious with his lies and conceits than the clowns that this guy would prefer....However, As for what WE considers moral.

Don't make me laugh.

From previous discussions I consider the less said the better.

The level of amnesia of you lefties is untrue. Nothing of all that has been constantly thrown at Trump since he was sworn in despite armies of investigators and lawyers working night and day to remove him. Do you not remember the Mueller report or what they tried to do to Kavanaugh. When will you learn?

They will move on to the next scandal because they know they can’t beat him in a straight election. The democrats, much like the Labour Party here have become evil and unhinged.

When the Democrats re-enter office they are going to get the same full force given back to them.

I criticized the impeachment of Clliton in the nineties...and I still do..... and I criticized the behaviour of the tea party with Obama as way over the top.

However, the behaviour of the Democrats and their activist supporters has reached a new level of polarisation and bias.

When they get back in...2020 or 24/28...They won't get a moment's peace and I for one view that as justice.

They created the new normal.

How are you sure that's what they are? They may be corrupt, lying b'stards for all you know. Or is it that they are "good and honest" because you agree with them?

Firstly, and for the umpeenth time, I am no "lefty". I detest left wing politics every bit as much as I do right. The Mueller report found a great deal of evidence which linked Trump's campaign to illegality, and people have been jailed as a consequence. Two things stopped Trump being taken down. Firstly, like many clever criminals, he kept much of the illegality at arms length so that it was the smaller guys who took the hits. Secondly, the stooge of an Attorney General Trump has inserted into the Justice Department, overruled Mueller by saying that a sitting President cannot be indicted. That's why the files are now in the hands of other lawyers in New York awaiting the right opportunity to bring him to justice.

Kavanaugh was another stooge who only escaped not being confirmed because of the sycophantic Republicans. He totally deserved what he was put through and was lucky to escape.

You are another who are living in a parallel reality. The Dems are the good guys in this drama, doing their best to defend the constitution and the rule of law. They bear no resemblance to the last Labour party leadership here. Even Sanders is a moderate in comparison.

The current situation has most certainly NOT been created by the Democrats. It is entirely the work of Trump and the Republicans who are prepared to trade truth and decency for the opportunity to pack the courts with conservative Judges and reduce taxes on the wealthy. The Republican party, with it's long proud record of service has caved in and become the Trump party. It may never recover.

As I don't have any particularly strong preference on who ought to replace Trump the idea that I am supporting "clowns" is ridiculous. I would be happy for anyone with some moral fibre, respect for the constitution and the law, and who commands general support in the USA,to become POTUS, whether they be Republican or Democrat. It's Trump's inappropriateness which most concerns me. If I have any kind of preference it would be for Michael Bloomberg as he has the money to take on Trump without needing to sell his soul to interest groups. He also understands the business world.

Challenging my morality, as one poster has done, is once again attempting to insult me by misrepresenting my views. I regard my moral standards as perfectly sound. I condemn every kind of immoral and behaviour whilst acknowledging the difficult job that has to be done by those who are employed to deal with these matters on our behalf. Contrast that with some of the highly dubious views which are often aired in these threads and it becomes very clear where the balance lies. Maybe though that poster is right not to say too much on the subject. Taking the fifth sometimes is a wise move.

Credit where credit is due. Any cleverness involved must have been down to his advisers and lawyers since we’ve been repeatedly told Trump is an oaf and buffoon.
