valued at £10 mil 27yo Serbian international winger for Eintracht Frankfurt - a poss replacement for Wilf acc to BBC teletext - didn't spot him last season v Chelsea, does anyone know more about him?

He's 28 in November, the same as Zaha, so would maintain the average age of the squad.

I can't see who is going to buy Wilf to make us have to replace him. Kostic is like a better Andrejs Rubins, he's quick, direct and has a the odd 30 yard left foot screamer in him. He'd be decent for Benteke as he's a more conventional left winger, which probably means he'd be played right wing by Roy.

To be fair to Hodgson, it seems that Zaha (and Townsend) insist on playing on the opposite wing to their footedness. He can be criticised for allowing it as it reduces potentially useful crosses rather than the currently less effective cutting in.

Although Kostic is extremely good, I have never seen him play in the opposing part of his favourite foot. He only plays on the left. He's exactly like Schlupp, but better on the attack. Would have been good to choose him instead of Schlupp when that decision was made. He could have been bought then with the money paid on Schlupp (around 12-15 million)

Would welcome a signing like this. Wilf needs competition and I know we love him, but he is not even a 20 million pound player at the moment ! I am SICK of watching him on the left and Andros on the right - it drives me round the bloody twist! Makes our attacks slow and predictable and is part of the reason Benteke never scores.

Exactly right. Hit the dead ball line and get your cross in. Maybe then Benteke would start scoring. Play to our strength. When we had AJ we played balls into the channel for him so use Benteke where he will thrive.
