Nobody expected W.Ham to get any points last night, least enough W.Ham themselves.
They will home to Southampton this weekend when the pressure will really be on them to get a result.
I believe that W.Ham will win this game based on their performance last night.

Other matches involving teams at the bottom this weekend :
Watford v Liverpool
Bournemouth v Chelsea
A.Villa v Man C

But that's the Carabao cup final, Willo!

It normally is.
Only 3 times since the inception of the PL have teams gone down having accrued 40 pts.
Only Bolton have been relegated on goal difference.

40 pts will ensure survival this season with many pundits now even saying 36 pts will do.
Hope we achieve that total on Saturday!!

You're still younger than me (by a year). But we all have those moments when we reach a certain age just like having to organize carefully when we drink on match days!

That isn't true. Pardew averaged 1.2 points per game as Palace boss, same as Sam Allardyce. Roy averages closer to 1.3, a significant improvement.

Correct, this has been mentioned a million times on TV, radio, podcasts etc.

Roy's tactic does work every now and again away from home. We sit back, frustrate them, get the home crowd anxious and sometimes we come away with a decent point or all three.

Problem is at home when he plays the same way, the negative approach is boring the pants off people. And if we go a goal down, there's no way back.

Maybe we need two coaches, one for home games and one for aways.

Roy now has a worse record than Pardew.

We are now losing games where we've not even given it a go.

I don't imbibe during the day so alas I don't avail of a tipple or two at the ground on match days.Sobriety is not on the agenda in the evenings!

Pardew 1.21

Hodgson 1.27

The switch from Holloway to Pulis was quite remarkable

I'd argue that Pardew had the worst squad and Roy has had the best.

Pulis did the best job.

What Pulis achieved that season was remarkable. Remember there was no Wilf that year too. There was a lot that was great about that season. It was also the best atmosphere we've had at Selhurst. Just a shame it's tainted by the way Pulis departed.

When Pulis joined us after 12 games we were 19th and had only attained 7 points.
We finished the season in 11th place on 45 points.
