Now greta says the earth will be burning.
How much more can they scare our kids.

She is right though.

Those that don’t believe or understand the most basic of science and recognise climate change, huge environmental damage on a global scale or that we are on the edge of a precipice, need to join the flat earth society.

Or rather climate change is a reality but is being hugely exaggerated by far left environmental activists.

Those that fall for their scare tactics are deluded.

So no, Greta isn't right, she's a fear monger....presenting the worst scenarios as the most likely....The number of false predictions that have been made on the climate are so numerous at this point that only those with poor memories or a lack of interest have an excuse.

This is an example of the left over exaggerating. This artical is from 2013 below. A football pitch is about 100 meters long and they say 50 pitches a minute are being destroyed.
So 50 pitches at 100 meters long is 5 miles a minute . That's 300 miles an hour. That's 7200 miles every 24 hours. 50400 miles a week,
I just don't believe the exaggerated lies

Remember the floods in the Somerset Levels in 2014?

A really good article about how local people and a "disgraced" politician who listened have made huge progress in stopping it happen again.

The villain of the piece is the Environment Agency hopefully free from the EU laws Boris will ensure that the lesson learned here are repeated across the UK.

As for Baroness Young I suggest people turn a hosepipe on her home see how she likes it.

So you've found an example of the threat being exaggerated. This doesn't mean you can ignore all the science and facts that show we are in a climate emergency.

98% of scientists believe cimate change is real and caused by human actions. I would choose to believe them rather than the uninformed deniers on here.

Science cannot be used in this way.
It has to be individual.
You cannot say because x % say this or that it's true.

So we shouldn't worry about our emissions because other countries emit more than we do?

That's like saying we shouldn't worry about coronavirus here because it's much worse in China.

If 98% of scientists believe something I'm inclined to believe them. Do you think they are all wrong?

No but you clearly think they are all correct.
Personally you need to research how their figures on the climate and change have been arrived at.
They use a standard set of figures which are not in any way correct so obviously most will come up with the same answer.
These figures they use are a worst case scenario on present temperature rises, so that clearly is wrong.
I wouldn't mind so much if they worked it out with the best case scenario figures but that would give different results which would make a lot of them unemployed.
The truth will come out how we are being duped but just carry on believing some dopey little swedish millionaire.

Ok so you can talk about the future and it is to some extent debateable. But it is already happening, some people even think it's too late.

Look at how much temperature has increased already.

These scientists are based in different countries, working for different organisations and use different data.

Also how much scientific knowledge do you have? The idea that you know better than 98% of the World's scientists is laughable.

They all use the same default figures so the answers will be he same.
Just a quick note.
Irrelevant of who or what is correct or not there are no scientists who categorically say that a change in climate will wipe us out.
That's for XR Greta and AOC.
I really dont see the problem.
The planet itself will make the call when it seems it needs to
Do you know in 1937 3 million deaths occurred from natural disasters.
In 2018 it was 11k
Does that show that we are destroying this planet.

So some of us will survive, that's alright then!

Storms, floods, droughts, fires all increasing. But nothing to worry about eh?

Keep your head in the sand mate
